Isn't MVP voted for by the coaches? Although it tends to go to top teams I would have thought it was hard to ignore Fletcher no matter where they end up in the table. Cortez would be my choice, he’s been unreal all season You say that but when Raiders had Donte Nicolas with the best statistics and talent in the league by a way he didn’t get the MVP and it was said it was because his team didn’t achieve anything. So it might be different for Eagles as they have achieved even tho they may not finish top 4.

It might be different depends what criteria gets used when they vote, I wouldn’t have had a problem with donte getting MVP that season he was exceptional No question. Most people talk about fletch when eagles get in the discussion but Cortez has just been on another level all season and stepped up on his Worcester form imo

Front court had an absolute shocker. Evan Maxwell in particular with —17 is appaling versus Darius being +14. Both Gordon and Pfluger haven't looked remotely fit since coming back from injury. If we're going to loose a few games anyway we may as well give the main guys a rest and make sure the 7 man rotation are fit going into the playoffs.

I thought it was strange neither of them played especially when we were up comfortably in the second but coach must think he can't trust them. Neither have looked great this season when they have played. It's a shame for Eddie as he probably had the best spell of his career last season before he got injured.

To be fair Maxwell played ok - it was Sayers and Defoe well below par tonight, and with a rotation of only 7 that was always going to hurt. I get the feeling we’re one player short of the squad we need about this time every season. At least we’ve got a nailed on season MVP - just look at the BBL stats and give it to him now ! I'm assuming by nailed on MVP you mean he now has a chance of finishing second after Liggins threw his toys out of the pram but still trails Geno by some distance

I've been disappointed for Eddie this year as it just hasn't happened for him. He became a useful rotation player you could keep on the floor last year. He doesn't look right at all this year and seems to have lost a step, not sure if he is carrying an injury or not. Having watched the game back that lack of a guard rotation killed us. I guess the drop off from Lasker/Matthew couldn't have been expected and it leaves us looking very light in that area.

Didnt expect that at all, I missed the last qtr and was gob smacked when I saw the final result. What happened they had it under control when I left. They bottled it that’s what happened, no interest in defence much, coach clueless C'mon - don't sugar coat it: tell us what you think plainly!

I wonder what the status of Brandon Federici whose playing for Team Newcastle in D1 this year is? Looking at numbers he'd be a far better backup guard option than Drew, Eddie or Yabantu.

Well they need to be far better on Friday against riders, should give us some idea of the playoffs are going to go from eagles Point of view

Eagles are a match for any team - expecting a tough tough game, especially as it's on Newcastle's home court.

I wish I could agree - I’m expecting a 20+ point blowout with a coaching masterclass from Rob

I wish I could agree - I’m expecting a 20+ point blowout with a coaching masterclass from Rob Can’t see it happening, In most game involving these two form usually disappears, And pride rears it’s head, Hope we have a longer neck than Eagles to rise above.
