What a game for the neutral! Super competitive and great to watch. Sheffield went away from what they did well in the last leg and the first half. Lillard, Nicol's, Helmsley pulled away from the team defence and individual rushes of blood and mistakes from these guys in key points cost the sharks. Looked safer and more assured when Lewis, tuck and Marsden was on the floor. Tone of the season for the sharks, bang average imports and inconsistency and questions have to be asked why is this the case season in season out.
The eagles thrived off the above. Fletcher has had another Sterling year and makes it easy for his team mates. Defoe and maxwell thrive from him. Gordon the X factor not many teams have.

Absolutely thrilling match. Gordon was fantastic and great to see Maxwell step up on day when Fletch wasn't having much joy.

as to feed - you tube was ok, but was a couple of times it was not smooth transitions and not the usual sky youtube channel quality I get Yes, no problems with the Sky Sports YouTube stream for me. I agree the stream picture quality wasn't quite as good as usual for these quarter final games, but that could be because the production of these was being down by Televideo and not Buzz16. Buzz16 are back for the semi final and final games next week though. Also, random question, why was the NBA logo on the advertising (over the stands) for the NBA2K21 advert covered over with black tape (yet it featured on the electronic advertising boards)?

Wow, think I've just about recovered from last night! What a great nail-biting finish to a game that was. It's those types of closely fought contests where aggregate scoring (which I'm not normally a fan of) can actually help with the excitement.
I think the Eagles coach (appeared to be on his own with no assistant from what I could see) and team deserve a huge amount of credit for how they battled last night, as shots weren't falling and it looked like hard work at times. I thought it was just going to be one of those nights, but they stuck at it and made some big plays in the final 5 minutes to sneak through.
Credit to Sharks as well, I thought they played 34 minutes of good basketball, but some bad decision making from their players down the stretch led to the door being ajar for the Eagles to take advantage.
I actually feel more confident about playing Riders than the Sharks now. Eagles seem to be able to raise their game better against the likes of Riders and Lions than playing a team below us in the league.
Enjoyed the coverage on YouTube and I must say British Basketball is so lucky to have someone like Dan Routledge calling our games. He does an amazing job with no presenter and handling the introduction, commentary and post game interviews. Looking forward to next week now!
