Congratulations Rob Paternostro on winning the Ed Percival Molten BBL Coach of the Year for a league record 6th time!
When you win the big meaningful competitions such as the league, you are always going to be in the running to get this award, Once again with not the biggest budget and a host of injuries Rob proves he can still pull trophies out of the bag.

I'm glad that Coach of The Year awards are earned for performances on court.
Congratulations to Coach Paternostro
The first line of my post, FYI for anyone curious as to what I meant, a coach in Ice hockey was given Coach of The Year as a sympathy vote after the team he coached (Newcastle Vipers) folded. I prefer these types of awards to be won for achievements on the field of play, if you start giving it for stuff outwith that, for me it makes the award pointless.
Coach Paternostro is a deserving winner and has the accolades from over the years to prove it

Absolutely Coach or the season, hes only had 1 bad game!
On the feed of this I saw Dan R and Mark W discussing on twitter that they changed the award and moved it to a coaches vote.
Why you ask, because in 2015 fab won 45 games with only 5 losses all season, won 4 trophies and they gave the award to the coach who finished 8th

Rob also won the trophy from the Basketball Writers association, for the 4th time. Great to see his success recognised.

I think there's more people in my house than members of the Basketball Writers Association. And that's not including the guinea pigs.
I'd be interested (though not enough to do the research) to know the percent of times that the league champ's coach hasn't won the official award. It's no different in football, but I've always thought it's a bit pointless to have the award if it (virtually) always goes to the league winner.

Why do you assume they're all lads?

Why do you assume they're all lads? Because there’s about 3. Of them and they’re all lads.
