Sorry to post this on here, I know this forum is not really for this sort of thing but my internet searches are drawing a blank, and I'm growing increasingly desperate for help.
I run a small, mostly youth orientated, basketball club in an area where there are precious few qualified basketball referees. This means when we find one we need to pull out all the stops to make it as convenient as possible for them to offiate our matches.
I'm in the process of trying to get referee trousers for a 6ft 8" man with a 38" inside leg and 36" waist. Unfortunately, I cannot find anywhere that does basketball referee trousers that long; odd really, given the sports propensity for attraching tall people to it!
Has anyone else experience this problem and, if so, how did you get around it or what online shop did you find selling extra long basketball referee trousers?
Thank you in advance for any prcticable help.

I've been a referee in Plymouth for a little while now - honestly your best bet would be to find some black golf trousers in his size. Comfortable, sports cut and generally moisture wicking of some sort - in that size there also aren't likely to be many takers, so you may luck out with some absolute bargains compared to trying to find a more generic 34/36R which I wear. Quick search of Sports Direct suggests you may be in luck, about £15 and if no good, likely doesn't break the bank either.

as others have said - don't restrict to looking for referee specific trousers, especially if this is local and youth orientated basketball.
I'v never owned ref specific pair (and have done some national youth games)- i have black chinos and even better some out there have an element of elasticated waist band. Just advise to ensure with a black belt with a black buckle if wanting to not deviate too much from the look of ref trousers. Similar with footwear - black and comfortable is key.

Honestly at everything below adult National League I think any sort of tracksuit bottoms, golf trousers would be more than acceptable. I've seen refs in jogging bottoms, shorts, not even with the grey top on, the coach of one of the teams playing.
