Could we be getting 2 new(ish) teams in the league? What do we think?

There's no real meat on either story. If it was a newspaper it would be called a "slow news day story". Like the Express and Star used to churn out about the BBA. It would be good to see the BBL grow a bit, but recent additions have been - mainly - clubs built on sand so i hope they do some decent due diligence rather than just grabbing the franchise fee.

Fully agree bare bones but just a conversation starter. But more weight to the Gloucester one. Whether the infrastructure is there to support it or not is another story.

That blog has a lot of ‘stories’ that come with no source, no background and just seem to be wild speculation probably found on Twitter

Durham had the Wildcats in the BBL now in NBL D3 as a new incarnation of the franchise, and the Palatinates in the WBBL.
First ever BBL game I went to featured the old Wildcats, good game. As for Gloucester it would be something different.
hersey is right though, if a new team were to join, then there must be strong due diligence. The teams have to have a solid business plan. I don't want a repeat of failure like the Birmingham Knights were.

Durham and the Tees Valley do have potentially 3 D3 teams. I’m not sure if Durham will run though. I’ve noticed some of their mooted players from last season (that did not happen) training elsewhere. I’m also not sure if the existence of D3 teams already in the area helps or hinders a BBL franchise? Wildcats easily had the most amateurish BBL game day I’ve ever been too but I’m sure there were worse….

We made the near 9 hour round trip to Durham for (another) blowout defeat once and that still wasn’t the worst part of the day.
I recall the “entertainment” being what I can only describe as line dancing in cowgirl hats, that overran and affected our warmups. I’m still scarred to this day
