The quote from Thomas is most apt -
"he’s another high-level British player who needs a bigger role and that’s what he will get here.”
No good him hanging around at Lions if he wants to progress his game.
Cheshire look to be doing some serious recruitment.

Really interesting signings by Nix so far. Would be good to see them build a British core together for a few years and see what they can do with them.

Great signings so far, suggests they may have a deeper bench this year

on top of the earlier signing - is this a sign that some sides may be looking to secure their quality brits earlier as they are thinking they may be in greater demand with additional clubs being confirmed soon? Probably just reading too much into it - but it is a thought.

Very good signing for Cheshire. He should have been the 1st option off the bench for Lions instead of Ware, he was better defensively & more conbasketball kited offensively.

Yes it would but unfortunately it didn’t tend to happen. We’ve been pretty good in picking up Brits that arnt getting big minutes elsewhere. Raheem, Karim and Louis come to mind who did well for us. Odly I was told didn’t try and resign Raheem though that’s just word of mouth. Louis moved onto Eagles and can’t blame him for that. I’d say Pharoah and Rolls have had less of an impact. We are what we are ‘ small town club’ and if someone performs they’re likely to move onto bigger and better things.

And that will always be the issue, we make some excellent discoveries in other team benches but as soon as the players show what they can really do they move upwards. Can't ever see this changing as cheshirechamp says we are a small town club. Mentioning Gordon and Rolls Tyson impact, Gordon's stats show nothing outstandinbbug at times he was the glue holding the others together, amazing rebounding figures, Sol has had two major injuries in the last two seasons and you have to be pleased to see him contributing at the end of last season. Very pleased with the new signings still need to find some big points scorers to use of the skills out new players have got. Looking forward to next season hoping to actually see games in the flesh, really missed road trips putting faces to names on here.
