The B Braun Sharks are very proud to announce the signing of Aaron Anderson as the second announcement for the upcoming 2021-22 BBL season.
The 29-year-old point guard is a product of the University of North Dakota and has spent seasons in Australia’s QBL with Brisbane Capitals, Kosovo FBK with KB Trepca, and France NM1 with Besancon Avenir Comtois.
The 5’10, Anderson, is excited for the opportunity,
“I did my research and looked into Sheffield, had great conversation with Head Coach Atiba Lyons and it just felt like the right situation.”
Originally from Minnesota, Aaron averaged 15 points, 3.5 rebounds 5.4 assists during his tenure in France.
Head Coach Atiba Lyons is looking forward to Anderson’s arrival,
“We are very happy to have Aaron on board. He is an experienced point guard which is exactly what we need from that position. He will be a guy that we can rely on for leadership but also productivity. Aaron has played at a very high level everywhere he has suited up and is used to the responsibility of having a team rely on him.”
Aaron Anderson joins Captain Mike Tuck, Jordan Ratinho, and Marcus Delpeche as the fourth signing of the summer. share

Hemsley, Lillard and Lewis confirmed gone, but no official word on Nichols yet. Lewis very active in Sheffield youth/ grassroots basketball so surprised he's not staying involved.

Lillard and Lewis not bothered about. The latter I am not sure will ever be consistent enough as a shooter to overcome his lack of team play/defence. He is so streaky and the fact he was demoted to the bench halfcway through the season says it all.
Lillard showed some flashes and had big moments in games and wanted the ball down the stretch but he too was inconsistent and recall that Newcastle 2nd leg when one better play from the 3 or 4 he ran in the last 2 mins with us leading and we would have won but he botched them all with over dribbling and bad decisions.
Gutted about Helmsley. He was superb and although never got the kudos of other guards in the league was right up there. Big miss if he is not returning.
The 2 other Americans were worse than Helmsley and Lillard. Nicholls ended up being also used off the bench a lot and another inconsistent player where as Kich regressed badly as the season went on.
I'd be surprised if either is back if the others are not returning as we are bringing back the worst players if we do?
So should be 3 new imports (1 pg Anderson been announced).
Sharks signed Joe Jr Mvuezolo (UK forward) today who did well in Spain last season but only avg sort of 8ppg his career even in the BBL back at Surrey etc so probably a bench player.
If Delpeche is also a reserve as another poster indicated still need 3 starters then and prob 2 new bench guards too if Lewus, Campbell and Jones are not back.

Why would he be? He has been on the fringe of a non play off team for a few years. Be a step back for the sharks if so. Not denying he has some qualities but I don’t see this as step forward for the sharks just filling the bench.
