Great news. Really hapoy with our recruitment this year. Hopefully the final piece is the Justin Gordon replacement at power forward.

Great news. Really hapoy with our recruitment this year. Hopefully the final piece is the Justin Gordon replacement at power forward. It has to be. If it isn't then we've wasted the good recruitment that has been done on the rest of the team so far. Maxwell struggled at times last season, if Shelton can come in and hit the ground running then we're in a fantastic position, Scott is an ample replacement for Edwards, we know exactly what he'll bring to the table. I'd still really love to see Pflueger back aswell.

Great news to see Fletcher back, always difficult to assess recruitment (apart from players already playing the BBL) until we see them all out on the floor together. But it looks like we're going to have another fun team this year.
On Pfleuger, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he had decided to retire from basketball and move on to other things. Think I saw this on social media but I could be wrong.

Really admire how Fletcher has managed to stay so consistently at the top of his game for so long. Any team would be fortunate to have him as playmaker on their roster.

Agreed, Eagles looking strong. Fletch is a joy to watch when playing pure point, I hope he does not have to play hero ball too often this season.

Realistically when was the last time we had a yank come over and dominate for such a long time TJ Walker, six years for Eagles starting in 2000. Fab Flournoy, eighteen years, Charles Smith, fourteen years in total. Rob P not so much as a player, but certainly as a coach. There must be more.

Fab dominated as a coach, I wouldn't say he either dominated as a player. Smith for sure the bustard

Fab was VERY good at doing whatever his team needed him to do. it's why he had to pay excess baggage to get all those medals to Toronto

Nah he left them with me. Sold them to maintain my lifestyle.
He also leads bbl all time in total assists, steals and blocks and is 2nd in rebounding.

Fantastic achievement by Fab. Quick question DaveF (I know you have the stats), where is Fab in total games played and where does he rank in the oldest player to appear in the bbl stats.
As an aside I remember, and watched, him play on the overseas touring team many moons ago before he played in the BBL.

Games played I don’t actually know. Part of the problem is that the stats generally look only at championship games.
In relation to age I think he was second oldest behind (from memory) Richard Scantlebury who played one game at 46 and a bit. Fabs last game was 45 years and 9 months. I think Shawn Myers is third on that one.
