It will be interesting to see if Vince & Burman work as a dream team or a nightmare vision. Looking at the recruitment it's clear the Burman has had a big influence. Will he try to have an influence in the coaching? That could be a complete recipe for disaster as I presume he's actually Vince's boss! Vince hasn't taken orders from anyone for VERY many years, If Burman tries to throw his weight around there will be explosions!
But it doesn't mention if he's going to be based in the UK or if he's running the club from America. If he's not in the UK I don't see how he can control the club properly but it might be better for the harmony of the actual team if he stays in the US.
It can only be a good thing to have someone who can actually move the club forward off court, create new investment from sponsors, make the club more fan friendly & sort out the social media & media output in general but he will have to be in the UK to do this.
He might not have had any European basketball experience but does he know anything about British or European basketball? Perhaps he's a basketball nerd & knows a lot, we can only hope!!
The fact there's been no recruitment of a big bruising European power forward so far still worries me but perhaps they're waiting for the right moment to announce.

Surely he will be London-based? I realise the article doesn't specify but, like you Saintpat, I cannot see how anyone could fulfil that role properly whilst not living in the UK. Given his experience and background I find it hard to believe that he isn't going to want to influence coaching of the players at the very least. That might make for some interesting discussions courtside.

Well he has an impressive Cv and it looks like a big step in making the Lions a professional organisation. But as Pat says, how it plays out will be fascinating.
