London know they can have fans back yeah? i guess its a swings and roundabouts thing - cause in one aspect they are actually ahead regarding tickets than rocks. earlier in the week Lions announced tickets on sale now for their BBL home opener - I dont remember seeing anything yet from Rocks for the home BBL opener though thought Lions had european home games prior to that? suspect its difficult times for GMs working out with competition organisers and with venue providers what they can allow with regards crowds and travel rules for squads however as i say swings and roundabouts Rocks have announced ticket details for both the pre-season game v USA select and the pre-season scottish invitational pre-season tourni - both with limited numbers that sounded like maybe 25 to 30% Suspect their GM holding back on BBL opener announcement in hope they have larger capacity agreed? |

though thought Lions had european home games prior to that? I don’t think so - I think the BCL qualifying rounds are sticking with the single-venue/bubble approach used last year. IIRC, Lions’ qualifying round takes place over 5 days in Italy? |

Lions seem to have forgotten about Facebook or their website again!! It's like it never happened!
Hopefully games like this will prepare the team well for Europe & bond the team. Results at this stage aren't important(although losing by 20 to AEK, doesn't look totally shabby).

I've finally computed in my head that Lions just played AEK Athens in Greece!!
I know it was only a friendly, I know we lost, but **** me, my basketball team that I've followed for way over 20 years, who I've seen win less games in a season than fingers on one hand(more than once), who have struggled to find venues, who have nearly failed to exist more than once, just played AEK Athens and actually competed!!
Perhaps this will all blow up in my face in a year or two, perhaps we will cease to exist or perhaps this really is the start of something special for Lions & BBL basketball but I'm taking the positives at the moment, after all, if you'd told me this was going to happen 2 years ago, I'd have said you were completely ****ing deluded!
