The good news (for Riders' fans) is that Crandall & Jackson will be here for this game. Hallelujah!

What do Flyers fans expect from their team this Friday? Been some very close games in the recent past - is your roster this year looking good?

Mixed bag. Crandall not fully fit. 3 point shooting poor BUT Flyers' perimeter defence was partly the reason. They showed grit and there was an intensity about their performance that won them the game. Their 3 point shooting was really good. Deserved to win - have a strong core of skilful players. Close, good game but Riders will improve: need a little time to gel.

…and a little time to improve their perimeter defense. Good turnout tho’

That's one area we know will definitely improve with Rob as their coach. Crandall showed early in the game why it was important to retain his services. There were some great plays by quite a few team members but it's clear they'll need time to get used to each other. Think we have a promising bunch.

Bristol look a pretty good outfit to me. They may do well this season. As said above, Riders look to have a good and deep roster and will also do well. Needs some tightening up. Lost it on the last two failed offences, but they had been bossed on the boards at both ends and that needs fixing, pronto. Great to see the arena reasonably full and buzzing again.

When Josh Rogers is your starter you shouldn't expect to beat Leicester

Saw Bristol at the Nix organised tournament last weekend, looked useful and better than some were suggesting following their personnel changes in the summer. Doesn't matter how good you are, if you're still learning names of teammates you won't know their best moves for a few weeks.

Josh Rogers hit 4 from 4 three pointers last night against Riders, and effectively won the game for the Flyers.

I acknowledge that its hard to get formats exciting with just 10 teams. However this cup format does nothing to elevate the sport.

Spot on! Losing to Phoenix makes me suicidal! Tbh I don’t follow the bbl that closely these days. I tend to follow the national leagues and NBA more. However I’ll probably venture to Belle Vue with Gardiner staying on and Dan signing up.

Wasn't impressed with the first showings of Dan Clark until he started hitting those long three pointers, will need to revise my opinion of him now.
