Not impressed. Think it's really weak.

just need to sign up the company formally know as Aberdeen Standard Life as the headline name sponsor of the club - then can have a vowel free name ABRDN LDN Ummmm A is a vowel mate doh - brain dead when I posted that clearly - but you get the idea, maybe LDN have same marketing brand advisor as ABRDN had ?

I felt the same way about Glasgow Clan's rebrand from Braehead to Glasgow Clan.
Although I was glad they got rid of the cartoony logo of Braehead and replaced it with a Clansman, it's daft though that our mascot is a Highland Cow, should have been a Clansman. It reminded me of Rocks getting rid of Rocky and redesigning him, then they change it to this new mascot that reminds me of Thing from Fantastic Four.
Rebrands should be done only with fan approval

BBL teams seem to place to little to zero value in their branding, Lions are clearly having a go with the LDN and snappy social media etc. The atlas etc is poorly conceived and executed, but you can see what they're trying to do. Patriots is flat out basic and drab with nothing whatesoever basketball related, even given the short time frame its beyond poor. You cannot substitute getting a pro involved and spend some quality time thrashing out some ideas. Even Newcastle have been getting away with a logo that looks like more than a passing resemblance to the Nazi Eagle. Not very 2021!! Brand is so important to engagement it is mystifying that so many BBL teams don't give a hoot.

I see your Patriots reference and raise you the Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves to name but a few - what's basketball related on those logos?

LDN LNS new logo is not too dissimilar to the Whatsbev display pic placeholder (if you turn your head to the right)

Yep but all those logos relate to their name!! There is nothing to do with London Lions name on their logo. Just an egg shaped basketball & globe, not even well constructed ones either!

If you squint really hard, at a stretch you could plum for them being Lions testicles? Also sums up the feelings of your fanbase having just been kicked in them.

Isn't the crown also supposed to represent a lion's face? I didn't see it until someone else said it... Still don't know if it's intentional or not though.

No mention on here yet of the RED kit Lions revealed last week - photos here - www.thelondonlions.com/teamWhat’s that all about?! I hate to say it, but they really are a team with a bit of an identity crisis.

How long until they drop the lions name and just be known as london or ldn... It would bring them in line with European, non-UK teams doing that.

I don't see why they wouldn't want a suffix. I think only one of the 126 teams in top level American sport doesn't have a suffix, why wouldn't 777 want one? And there's nothing obviously naff about Lions.
