Lions have got such a great opportunity to make a brilliant jersey since they don't have to have plaster it in sponsors logos and they come up with this 🤮

It's just horrendous, the crown looks like a weird idea too it's almost like a step to changing the team name.

It's appalling! I'm expecting the Lions name to be dropped given the new logo & the fact we're clearly now meant to be known as LDN!

First saw the new logo on (I think) a FIBA post showing the Europe Cup groups. Genuinely thought the social media team didn’t have a Lions logo and used some generic placeholder instead. Awful.

Absolute rubbish. Looks like a deflated basketball and globe. No drama or anything to get excited about.
Perhaps the club asked some Year 6 pupils to design something? Dreadful.

I like that the crown is also a lions mouth, I think that's quite clever.
The investment firm bit below it is awful, looks like a design by committee job to me.

ask yourselves this: Would it effect your decision to go to a game? Yes it quite possibly has! I feel even more disenfranchised with the club now than I did before. A generic logo, no Lions name on the shirts, hell not even London on the shirt!! I've been through many changes with this club over the past 25 years, Towns/Citys, venues, name changes & logos, but this latest re-invention is truly appalling with no care about the fans or history of the club. I appreciate there quite possibly wouldn't be a club without the American investment but they clearly have no knoedge of British sport or British basketball! |

Well the club colours have gone, the Lion is no where to be seen and this is another step to the creation of a new club that erases the past. Whether that is a good thing time will tell. But I get Pat's viewpoint.

I know as humans we're wired not to like change... but regardless, I don't like it.  With some experience in this area I think I can see what they're doing... building a brand, with a logo that people will recognise even if they're not a basketball fan. A logo you can put on all kinds of apparel that people will buy, even if they've never actually been to a game. I'm not saying they'll succeed at that. And I'm not saying it's a good logo either. But what irks me the most is that the logo has a complete disconnect from the London Lions basketball team. Also, building a successful merchandise brand (regardless of whether the basketball team themselves are successful) still actually needs you to, you know, sell merchandise!For almost 2 years now there's been no official Lions merchandise available, so we're all left still wearing the old colours and the old logo. We're going to start the season with the fans in the crowds looking like they support an entirely different team to the one on court! |
