30 point win for lions… was really impressed with them, really well coached and quality. Leedham played 0 mins so i assume injured.

Wow! Impressive win there, great to see a British team make such a statement in Europe.
I think that’s the first leg? When’s the second?

Jo was changed and on the bench but didn't play.

This win is massive IMO… shocked it’s so under appreciated if I’m honest!

If youre wanting to watch a Lions team in Europe this year then the women are definitely the ones with the potential to do something of the two.

Amazing performance, I thought Lions had recruited a team capable of putting in a decent performance in Europe but that was a different level. The defence was excellent, particularly the perimeter defence which was stifling. And when you have a PG as good as Leonard then your offence is generally going to flow well. Add in players like Winterburn & Breen and it's a very potent team. I've mentioned 3 players but every one of the team played very well & their movement at both ends of the court was excellent, they never stopped working, they were well drilled & knew their roles. Good size crowd today too which was great to see. Gran Canaria will play better in the 2nd leg but Lions should have enough after this game to progress.

Should have also added it was great to be back watching basketball, hadn't realised quite how much I'd missed it.

Outstanding result, I though DTB (a lover of London basketball, apparently) would have been on here to congratulate them. Some more thoughts.

I went actually with my lil’ ‘uns - London were very impressive - never out of 2nd gear really. Decent crowd at the home of London basketball (but oh did it look tired and run down- roof still leaking- pool side not court side thankfully -2 years after I last went pre- Corona - you’d have thought that’d have been fixed!

Lions progress after a far more difficult game. They had to dig deep & fight really hard. Shots weren't dropping but to be fair, Gran Canaria really stepped up their defence. Last week they showed their talent & ability, this week they showed their heart & composure when it really mattered.
On to the group stages, superb effort by the whole team.
