Sharks looking great so far.
Glasgow is great off the bench.

Sharks absolutely blitzing the giants, scoring at will off the break and in the half court, while clamping giants at the other end. This new 7 man rotation looks tough

Really think this might be a decent team this year.
I really like Anderson, Williams. Nichols looks great aswell.

Gosh, what a performance! Glasgow has really made a difference off the bench, that gives us a legitimate 7 man rotation. It'll be interesting to see how we fare against London and Leicester, but a reason for a bit of optimism for a change

Fabulous win, no silly subs and no scrub players on the floor until we are 30 points up ! Brilliant Good clear coaching sending a message All too clear how good our best players are and how far our bench end has to go Glasgow Jnr, excellent signing

Yes. The passing tonight was fantastic.
Anderson is probs the best point guard we’ve had since Yanders. Glasgow looks a superb option too.

Rod Glasgow possibly the signing of the season. Shame he didn’t come back to Newcastle!

on reflection of last nights game I recall watching the Sharks in a pre-season tournament in Glasgow in 1998 The Sharks had refreshed the team and replaced John Amechi & Mark Robinson & Deon Hames Bringing in Travis Conlan & Matt Gaudio The team was :-
Coach Chris Finch Terrell Myers / TRavis Conlan / Will Johnson / Todd Cauthorn / Matt Gaudio Iain McKinney / Mike Payne / Locker Okorie / Adrian Anderson / Richard Windle
The Sharks won the tournament, but just in those 3 games it was blindingly obvious the Sharks had got a combination that was a cut above the rest, and I came away from that weekend absolutely buzzing.
despite losing Matt Gaudio to injury at Derby ( replaced by Pete Scants )that season the Sharks won :-
BBL Cup & the League Championship
Last night I felt that performance left me with that same feeling, I know it was just 1 game the first league game of this season, but the performance was so upbeat I hope the end result will be similar

Sharks certainly look to have a decent team though this year.

Excellent win. Best Sharks played in years. After the inconsistent Cup campaign not sure where that demolition came from? Could easily have been a 40+ win if not for sloppiness at the end.
Giants got destroyed and they are a good team and will compete for top 4.
Great ball movement, passing, inside and outside game. Defence was good too, pressuring the ball and rebounding as a team.
Loved the fact we were so unselfish and moved the ball though. Not much one on one stuff.
Anderson, Williams and Glasgow a great three guard combo.
Ratinho and Delpeche did a bit of everything.
Tuck edged closer to TC's all time Sharks scoring record in limited minutes...just needs 20 points is it now?
Still not convinced by Koch. Think if we are serious for honours and are ruthless we bring in a better, athletic/more Mobile big man who can stay on the floor. 2 dunks and 3 fouls is not a great stat line. He needs to play better as he has maybe 1 good game in 3 or 4.
If we signed a more mobile big then this Sharks team would be even funner to watch. They are flying down the court with those guards so just need a bit more up top.
500 odd there so hope that improves if the performances remain of that high level.
Number 6 has had too much beer if he thinks this team is anywhere bear that 98-99 team though. We just went 3-3 in the Cup with the same players. That was one of the best BBL teams ever IMHO with NBA level talent in Myers and Conlan (both could have made the league if cards had fallen differently but Myers was a star in the ACB).
We will see what happens next week in the return in Manchester and then v Leicester before I get carried away. That Sharks tea. Went 11 or 12-0 before Gaudios injury and think only lost 5 all season.
Last night was excellent but not getting too carried away yet. We will have a better idea after maybe half a dozen games.

The manner of that win , just gave me the same feeling following pre-season in Glasgow in 1998 I'm just hoping the rest follows
But the beers afterwards did help

The comparison is hilarious. But I do share a lot more optimism then I did throughout the trophy though!
