Yeah, bit of an error there, but what do you expect for Lions' social media.
Personally I'm not quite as confident... Sharks are improving week by week, and then it'd likely be Riders (sorry Phoenix fans) in the semi-final. If they get through all that then ironically the final might be the easiest fixture.

Lions fixture list means any game is far from certain. Sharks seem to be better than last season so this certainly won't be easy. However, Lions team was built to win all 4 domestic competitions & do BBL basketball proud in Europe, it would be a massive step back if they were to lose at this stage of the cup.

Perfect time for a Sat game. London could capitalise on the Saturday Westfield Mall shoppers and huge footfall on a Sat in the Olympic Park. Game finishes early enough for kids and for those heading out for a Sat night.
Expecting a massive crowd for this. Looking forward to going

Lions one step away from the Final already apparently... Never in doubt, Sharks were woefully out of their depth last night, and that was without Reece!

Watched this back this morning. Lions played some decent team basketball which I am not used to witnessing from a vince team. Williams Jnr has for me has been a standout with Reece so far in both comps. Sharks have some dynamic guards who can create and score and are pretty great in transition. The forwards are simply lame. Fundamentally weak and can’t convert on the opportunities the team creates. Defensively breakdown after breakdown and this just wasn’t today but every game bar one this year.

I'm not sure what to take out of that game. Sharks didn't play badly, Lions were just on a different level when it mattered. I thought losing Reese for the game might make this very difficult but after the 1st 3 minutes it was pretty much one way traffic. Kelley played limited minutes but changed the game in the 3rd with a defensive intensity which seemed impossible when he started the season! Coaches have to take great credit in transforming his defensive game.
All of Lions bench players had good minutes, which will become more necessary as the season progresses, yet even Sharks starting 5 couldnt really get near them. When you have straight out shooters like Dirk & Cugini & very unselfish play from the whole team it's going to take a good team, playing to their best ability to beat Lions at the moment.
Players are desperate to get minutes when a team is playing well, so they work harder & the team improves more. The European adventure has made Lions a very compact, tight team who know their individual roles. Lions full schedule could well have a detrimental effect as the season progresses as tiredness & inevitable injuries take effect but at present they're riding on the crest of a wave. Next Wednesday's game will be the toughest game to date, playing the biggest budget, 'best' team in their group, in front of a German crowd who will know how important a 10 point win is. Lions will be faced with an onslaught from tip-off, it will be interesting to see how the players & coaches cope. A win would suggest this team really are capable of becoming one of the best BBL teams we have seen for a very long time.
Sharks are probably one good forward away from being a top 4 team, although they could do with a little more height in the guard position.

Of course what I should add, is that after over 25 years of watching Lions in various forms, I'm constantly expecting it to all turn to **** at any moment!
