Got my extra ticket for Sat for £5.
Would be nice if one of our injured players was back, but not too hopeful!

Far better effort and cohesion from Phoenix tonight. They need that Ben Mockford every night.
Also Dickerson. They need him

Never in doubt, Thanks for putting on a entertaining game, Better than watching a 25pt + blowout.
A massive thank you to Ian Firth for his annual Remembrance Day trumpet rendition, Superb as always.

Not quite sure how we managed to win that one, never in front by many and struggled to stop Cheshire scoring. When mockford is on he is very dangerous.
Not seen the Rob give the team a time out blasting for a while like the one in the first half but seemed to have the desired effect

Don't like saying this but it looked as if we were complacent for the first 15 minutes and underestimated our opponents. Crandall seemed more concerned with the refs' failure to call fouls against Phoenix - at least that's how he seemed to see it. He certainly wasn't focused on playing team ball at that stage. Cheshire were 100% up for this game and it was only after Rob blasted our players in a timeout that things gradually improved. It was a bad day at the office alright but we scraped a win. Tougher games lie ahead. Think we'll be better than tonight. Collective sigh of relief at the end of the 4th quarter.

Rob was right to have a blast at them. Sloppy, slow to get going, too soft defensively and much too distracted by a series of foul calls and non-calls by the referees. One or two of the Riders really didn't step up to their nomal game all night, but thank goodness that others did. Once again, Jubril Adekoya was the game's winner for me. Tough defensively and just watch a video of Riders last basket. He lost his defenders brilliantly and like plonkers they both went for Geno, leaving Jubril wide open behind them. And good to see Conner once again hitting the shots the way we know he can.
Mockford had a terrific shooting game. Bet he won't replicate it all season. And the bigs must have thought their Christmas had come early, particularly picking up a whole string of easy offensive rebounds. They would have been good value for the win.
I really hate it when refs call too many tippy-tappy little fouls early on. And they wonder why good pros (not to say the fans) get annoyed later when there's no call for clear fouls. Consistency, please, refs.
But overall it made for one of the most tense and exciting finishes we have had at the arena for quite some time.
Good to see Nelson-Henry is now out of his boot.
