Disappointing performance by scorchers seemed as they completely forgot about defence. I know they were without 4 key players but just not good enough. Well done Rocks good recovery after last night's game

A lot of emphasis on Scorchers being short, yet the full strength squad lost at home to Barking Abbey teenagers just weeks ago.
I have major concerns about the coach and the results over the past few seasons speak volumes.
Make no mistake, tonight was utter crap. The senior guys let the academy boys down bad. There was no D played. I was with someone new to the sport and even they commented on the body language of the Scorchers players.
Not sure where we go from here, it’s been rubbish for so long. Despite some half decent players over the past few seasons, we have looked tactically woeful and have to work twice as hard as the opposition to get a shot off.
Something’s got to give. But I highly doubt it will and the fans will be treated to yet another mediocre season, peppered with the odd win against Plymouth and one or two others to keep people happy. No chance of top 8. Gutting.
