Kingsley Okoroh and Liam Carpenter both leave Plymouth, Carpenter wants to be back home with his wife in Germany, not sure about Kingsley but Patriots gonna need quick replacements if they want to remain somewhat competitive

You can clearly see especially on offence this team has not jeled and got to know each others game plan, cuts to the basket etc this is just a killer blow for anyone thinking we have a win coming!!!

This could be a good news. Carpenter has been poor, contributing very little to offence. Kingsley has been injured for most of the time and when he does play, again contributes little on offence. Perhaps our visa has now come through and we can replace with imports or at least take stock and pick up some replacements that will put up points.

To be honest very true man, Carpenter always looked rushed and flustered bringing the ball up, think teams know if they D’d up on him his handle wasn’t good enough. And Jesus Kingsley… could hit free throws but any type of field goal attempt was so heavy. So if….. if replacements or visas can be sorted then this is forsure a good thing, worried how finances are looking with limited bums on seats, but again we need a good product to watch to get people in…. Catch22

Pavilions haven’t helped getting bums on seats with their new vaccination rules.

Pavilions haven’t helped getting bums on seats with their new vaccination rules. Think you might find it's another thing you can blame Boris for. Although it must be very frustrating it's probably better than becoming another Corona virus victim.

Pavilions haven’t helped getting bums on seats with their new vaccination rules. What are the new regulations on entry into the pavilions? Pretty sure my status will mean I’m unable to attend 😢

I don't think their requirements are particularly different to many other venues. Pat mentions similar at the Copper Box. They've made the document unnecessarily long, though, and when I first looked at it I did think "Jeez, that looks a nightmare". I'd be interested to know why ipads are prohibited, though....

Good news is that the Visa has arrived thanks to the chap who runs the media leaking that to all and sundry so no excuses soon for Pj to get a W. With the Pavilions less than a third full every game and draining cash, anyone know what is happening after this season? Time is ticking and it's v quiet.

Very worried this is a one season spell for the new franchise. Mid week games must be killing sponsors wanting to sponsor and cash stream via ticket sales, even more so with the lose column stacking up.
Then there’s still the fact the pavilions stated this was for 1 season only!! Surely someone must know something on this subject. Not exactly a lot of time to pull in funding and build a stadium.

Pavilions have said it's an absolute no going forward, this season is it. so options are a) life centre - the hard court needs reinforcements to bear weight on the flooring to put moveable seating in according to someone at the council so the place would need digging up, that isn't going to happen quickly b) marjon - that would be like going back to division 1 days and someone would have to hire or buy seats in. Who? c) take an old warehouse and revamp it. Given the lack of building materials, time to get planning permissions/change of use etc from the council etc and the availability of materials (I'm in the trade and its impossible to get hold of stuff atm) that process should've started months ago - may be it has? Either way someone needs to start talking.

Antonio Williams. Played at Kalev last season. Was replaces by Quincy Taylor ex Scorches this season. His stats were better than Quincys. So onward and upward 😉

Maybe the owners legit don’t have an answer but if there are plans for next season which I can only presume should or would have been on the agenda or busienss plan going forwards surely it would be wise to give the fans hope for another season. I know I’d be more likely to invest, sponsor, spend money on merch if I could see the club where planning another season. Atm I would imagine fans, sponsors etc are all on the fence with doubt over the clubs location and venue next season.

With the London Lions having rich backers I wonder in their are any other rich overseas investors looking to invest in a BBL Club. With 777 I suppose you do wonder what is in it for them or why they chose the Lions. I suppose with the Lions being in London the capital of the UK maybe that could be why. For the final owners of the late Plymouth Raiders I wonder what made that guy decide to back them and then pull away? Maybe if London were to do well in Europe could other potential investors look to sponsor a team and challenge them?

Reading the other comments about no building materials are available you couldnt get enough straw to build a sports arena anyway, it didn't work for the three little pigs either. Seriously though feel very sorry for the supporters in the Plymouth area, it's one thing to have a struggling team, a struggling club with issues with a venue is something completely different. Mind you Giants played in some pretty grotty places in the last few seasons before ending up in their current place so the best of luck.

The issue is money and everyone getting on board to fix the issue!! Due to the local economy there is literally 100 empty warehouses/factories with car parking facilities which could be converted. Hey there's a bit of abandoned land next to argyle perfect for a venue. Issue is the club and council mps ect need to come together to put the wheels into motion!! That just isn't happening at the minute!

That just isn't happening at the minute! Didn't Vince Maculey once have the Lions playing in a shopping mall. I never been to Plymouth so I don't know what the malls are like. I know some overseas NBA players like Germanys Dennis Schroeder and former French player Tony Parker are owners of teams in their respective countries. Plus some other players are sponsors of other sports teams. I heard it somewhere LeBron has a share in Liverpool FC even. If it was to ever happen I wonder which NBA player you would want to sponsor your BBL Club?
