Although they are our rivals I would again feel sorry for the Lions if Covid ruined their European campaign again. Reading this article on BBC about the GB mens Wheelchair team having having forfeit a final against the Dutch due to Covid. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/disability-sport/59629247I'd be concerned that the same could happen here as well. I hope for Londons sake they get to reschedule.

Did the wheelchair team really have to forfeit? Once case shouldn't force a game not to be played. But we seem to have reverted to panic mode and I suspect everything before Christmas to slowly get postponed as the week progresses. Amazingly I'm still allowed to see 130 different kids today, though.

I think we should have called off both games as a precaution though...

I watched my first wheel chair game between GB and Japan at the Paralympics on TV this year and enjoyed it. Back on topic though if this does cost the Lions Europe then I imagine the owners could potentially give up bothering next year and other clubs might also be put off if this is how it's going to be played. If its a postponed game then its a lucky situation for them.

There was always a risk that something like this would happen, and to an extent they're playing with house money (no pun, they're playing with a lot of their own money) in that they've been competitive and had a decent record in the first stage.

Three D1 games are already off (Hemel's not showing on BE yet) and I'll be amazed if well-known plague-magnets Essex Rebels survive. I wrote this in the wee hours. It's like the BBC Christmas schedule. Depressingly familiar.

It's like the BBC Christmas schedule. Depressingly familiar. Certainly is depressing. I doubt there will be much basketball in January either. But if Omicon is as transmissable as we are being told then we'll all have had it in a month.
