Last year development and premier leagues had their own playoffs. The website says it has reverted to previous formats where development leagues join the premier league in the playoffs. Seemed a lot more sensible last year. Development teams against the premier will just be a mis match. Any thoughts as to why the format has reverted back to the previous incarnation?

Presume it's a money saving issue. Last year was a nod to the old U13/15 playoffs. Now we are down to just one at U14/16. It's an interesting one as I am sure we can all think of clubs that tried to get into Premier but were rejected, and clubs that should be in the Premier but elected to stay in development. The annoying thing is that certain age groups ie mine are having to pilot all these new formats every year.
