If you could change one thing for next season what would it be? I'm not talking players/coach (See the Stick Or Twist thread for that), but anything else? Whether it's to do with game day presentations, venues, game day times, absolutely anything...however realistic or not! For me I would like to see the Rocks fanbase get involved a bit more. Our atmosphere can be pretty poor despite myself and @gonk's best drumming efforts! Although I appreciate not everyone enjoys making noise / can feel shy. Following that, if the team are awful then I'd like to see Rocks fans rant about how bad we were and what went wrong rather than see typical comments congratulating the guys on "a great effort" and so on (this doesn't happen on the forum, usually elsewhere).

I'm hoping we get fancam in next season like in the NBA and more audience participation as a result The NBA at MSG is more like a family entertainment show than just a basketball game and although some purists might not like it that's how to bring families in and sellout arenas as they go for the whole matchnight experience

Rocks specific - I would like to see a return to the half time shoot a hoop comp, it must have made a bit of money for the Rocks and my son and friends loved doing it. Ditch the braveheart introduction and use the music group (or similar) from Saturday (you could use the money generated from point 1 above to pay for it). As for moaning about performances, is this not the reason forums like this were created although I do try to temper my frustration as much as possible, but a good rant on here can do you the world of good.
League wide - reduce the game from 4 to 3 quarters so we cannot have our usual quarter long collapse while playing reasonably well for the other 3/

People seem too happy to accept things like that. Apologies if i've picked you up wrong.

Playoffs/Trophy become a best of three, not aggregate scores.
Have a North vs South All-Star game.

Was there not an allstar game in days gone by? My strongbow-addled memory vaguely remembers watching one of these once.

There was. I'd rather eat my own pants than watch one. Having said that, the thing i'd like to change for next season is my pants.

I enjoy the banter forum and i am not on facebook so not sure what goes on there but i think we all need an outlet especially long suffering rocks fans. I think there is a line between honesty and ranting but here is a safe place and i for one hope to continue to use it for a while yet, but i suppose that is a contradiction to the original question.

Do they still have the guard rails in place at the Emirates?

Do they still have the guard rails in place at the Emirates? No not in the sports hall where all games are played now

if i could change one thing...
rocks wise- maybe get a big screen in the sports hall. a great feature but i doubt it would happen.
bbl- is there a worse pro league for engaging with fans? i would love to know how many people work for the league office and what capacity they are employed in.

Whenever i've had dealings with Andy Webb or Jamie Press (i'm not actually sure what a league competitions manager is though!) they've been helpful and communicative.
The BBL twitter on the other hand is disappointing. Very disappointing. Is it an outside company that does it, is it a robot? anyone know?

Manchester Giants need to play on a basketball court. Not a basketball court, 3 tennis courts, 2 badminton courts, a hockey court and a volleyball court. I feel sorry for the cheerleaders, they must get confused as to what game is going on. Maybe they dont have sport specific cheers just in case there is a mix up.

How about a well planned, balanced fixture list for the season, where clubs don't have to play two games on successive nights & then go two weeks without a game, ideally, with all clubs playing the same number of games all through the season.
A second thought, taken from Rugby League, start the season with a Super Weekend with all 12 clubs playing a game at a single, centrally located venue. It would be a great way of attracting media coverage to the start of the season, it would allow fans to see all of the teams play & it could be a profitable event for the league, and clubs.
Finally, make the BBL play off finals a two day event, with single game semi finals on Saturday & the BBL play off final on Sunday, possible with the WBBL final as the first game on the day. Again, at a venue that people are easily able to get to.

All great ideas but all require a hell of a lot of logistics to make happen and I get the impression the BBL staff are over stretched as it is It's the same in many organisations not just BBL. Manpower and time and logistics to make things better.

AFAIK, there are two full-time members of staff at the BBL. Some additional work is done on a freelance basis. I don't know how much (or why) people expect the league to engage with the fans - even if they had time, its the clubs' job.
Regarding the fixture list, when every club can give a day on each (or at least close to) weekend of the season, I imagine the schedule will be a lot tidier.
if I'm allowed a second change I'd like a copa del ray style final eight for the Cup (or Trophy) to be played between Christmas and New Year.
