Indeed. You'd read my blog within 90 minutes of it being posted.
It wasn't even a PSB original.
It was nicer without you, incidentally.

I tend to agree. I think if you're going to work top down then you're going to need a *lot* of money over a period of many years to get it in the public eye and keep it there. Not convinced it would be sustainable anyway. There's a lot made about the number of young people playing basketball. It's brought out like it's some sort of ace card over and over again. Not much use having participation like that if you're not going to harness it.... which is potentially where the outdoor courts come in. Your link, I presume, is an example of how that can work effectively? Funnily enough, I've been working on an article about what was going to be the greatest top down injection of money into British basketball EVER. I'd even done some research. I bring you the BBA, the league that never saw a blown layup. I’ve kept a close eye on this in the background as the AC Green wheelout was the last ever finals I went to. Ive never been more convinced anything was a scam more in my life. He’d take the money and run, simple as that.

By "he", you mean Scott rather than Green? The latter seemed a thoroughly decent bloke, and I'm still amazed he remembered us from Vegas nearly two years later.

Good news if you like Football Manager & own a Nintendo Switch.
Football Manager Touch 2018 is out on the eShop for £29.99 or less if you have Gold coins, I had 88 of them which knocked the price down to £29.11.
Was playing FM17 on my laptop yesterday but having Touch 18 will be a good, portable experience.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43810623This is good. Never knew it happened before today. Amokachi brought himself on as sub in fa cup semi final for Everton without manager knowing. Then scored twice. If it had happened to Cloughie he would have subbed him straight back off!

Haha, never knew about that story. That's brilliant!
Brian Clough certainly wouldn't have stood for it. My favourite Cloughie moment was when he started belting the pitch invaders!

And three days later the lads he hit all apologised to him on the local news for what happened Nowadays he'd be getting sued for it! It was actually a friendly pitch invasion by Forest fans after winning a cup game Don't think the Forest fans could believe it when he started hitting them!

Just tried one of those new Ruby Kit Kat's, absolutely fantastic.
Definitely a different taste, it tastes a bit like white chocolate then the fruity flavour emerges. I highly recommend it if you can find them.
Makes me wish that we could get the same flavours as Japan gets.

Love that story about Royle too - the best substitution he never made. Also agree about Allardyce but the fan survey was up there with West Ham levels of cringe. Complete farce from our marketing team.

Amokachi did well to leave Everton as a cult Hero etc
I remember very well going to an Everton v Forest game at Goodison Park and Amokachi was paraded around the ground as their new superstar signing
At which stage a big fat Everton fan ran onto the pitch in protest and he had "Everton are white" written on his stomach in black marker (or something like that)
And a good number of Everton fans were applauding him and chanting;
"Everton are white. Everton are white"
I assume he was the first black player they had signed either ever or for a long time and it upset some of the fanbase
Not the nicest welcome from your new team's fans!!
It's great times have moved on and it's great he went on to do well at the club

Just interpret that they want rid but do t want to pay him off. Given the complete balls that Koeman was making Everton should be quite pleased where they are now.

Great Britain are 1 win away from gaining promotion to the top tier of World Ice hockey.
We've won 3 games out of 4 and require 1 point to get there. Played pretty well apart from getting skelped 6-1 off Borat's boys in game 2.
Now all we have to do is get a positive result against Hungary tomorrow and we're up.

Great Britain have won promotion, battled back from 2-0 down and got the point they needed.
Bring on crybaby Crosby.

A positive story:
I attended the Leicester City Football Player of the Year Awards last night. I'm not a fan. But I had some business to do there.
In the programme on the first two pages it mentioned any monies raised would be going towards the local hospital trying to raise £75k to complete a new wing. Representatives from the hospital were at the event.
Halfway through the night their captain Wes Morgan and goalkeeper Casper Scmeichel were being interviewed on stage about the season
As the interview finished Scmeichel took the microphone and said:
"Me and the other players have read about the great work the hospital does and that they need to raise £75k. We've had a chat together and we would like to donate the £75k ourselves to make sure you have the money you need. So any money you do raise tonight will be extra for the work you have to do"
A great gesture, but Ive noticed despite being in depth reports about the night and the award winners in the local press I can't find any mention of what they did.
Footballers are always the first to attract bad media attention. They really impressed me last night.
It it also shows their wealth to be able to make a gesture like that on the spur of a moment.

Yep it's a great step forward for them I watched the game from start to finish and was ecstatic when we won. Basketball and ice hockey have always been playing tug-of-war with my heart and my brain (and consequentially with my sporting life and playing time too!) so it was great to witness national team success in a sport I care deeply about! Not sure GB basketball have such success on the horizon...
