I think a head coaching change has its own risks, one day we might have to do it so need to think about that. Whether it happens now or later. But there is no real reason to not bring Fab back if he wants to continue to lead the team. He has done so much for the club and city that he’s earned a permanent job as long as he wants it. I do think we need some fresh ideas, and hopefully Fab can bring some, maybe his time in Toronto will bring something fresh. But we also didn’t have the players to do it last season and the previous season. Bring some of the players like Fletcher, Kyle Williams and Lasker back then add some players like Donte and Clayton and some good British players then we could have a better season. I hope Fab stays. And we get more of the same |

So far I’m most impressed with what nix have done. 2 decent British bench players in Sayers and Dizzy. To have Hayes and Latinovic commit so early really surprised me so the offer must have been good. 2 decent imports and a European passport and they’ll be a definite play off team this year.
Anyone know how the European slots are impacted by the brexit mess?

My understanding is theres a transition period. Current government policy suggests that if there's less euro spots available they won't be replaced by more work permit spots

Just my opinion but I don’t really rate Sayers above 8th man in a rotation if you’re looking to compete, and without being too unkind Lufadeju is a guard who can’t dribble, shoot or pass very well... |

I have a feeling Kai Williams could be back at the Eagles next season. He’s still living in the North East with his family, took his new baby daughter to the arena when he went for a shoot around the other day.
I guess he could still not be but to me it’s possibly looking that way.
Just hope he’s not bringing his brother with him.

Think that Sayers has elevated himself from 8th man and proved to be a much improved 6 th/7th squad member. As for Dizzy, loads of energy, enthusiasm and effort when on court great defender, but agreed perhaps a little lacking in those skills mentioned!! |

I do think after a bad first half of the season Kai did play better in the last 2/3 months of the season and on his day is a solid player. But they should never come as a package deal again. I don’t even think is so much Jamal’s weight that’s an issue, he’s just clearly unfit and just can’t contribute at this level anymore and get decent minutes where he is productive. Billy Singleton was just in a different league, you looked at him and thought no way he can do what he does but he was an immense player for his size. Jamal is not even in that conversation. Hoping for an Eagles signing soon though. |
