As you may have noticed the site was shut down for a few days much to my despair I discovered this was to be permanent and after 19 years of being on here and not quite sure what to do with myself launched a last ditch Bolton Wanderers style takeover.
So we're back here to continue as normal the odd thing may change here and there but it's business as usual, however if anyone does have any ideas please send them my way. One thing I had thought was the out reach on social media but there's now plenty of time for discussion.

Well done KO25. Could anyone explain what happened? Was there a coup ?  I have no knowledge of what happened. However, it is apparent that gonk is no longer in the list of "Staff" or "Members" on whatsbev. Given also that he seldom, if ever, attended Rocks games last season, I would speculate that he may have lost his interest in the BBL. That's a pity. He put a lot of effort into whatsbev during his time at the helm. |

As others have said, this forum is an invaluable resource of information together with plenty to gossip & rumours.
British Basketball & the BBL in particular wouldn't be the same without it.

I was aware Gonk worked a lot of crazy hours and his free time was at a premium. Whatever happened he gave a lot to this page down the years and I appreciated it.

BigZ ... agreed As for Gonk, I feel like I've lost my left arm. So sad to see him leave this way. Hopefully, he will come back at some point in the future (just as a member/poster) ...even if it's just to say how 'bawbags' Rocks really are...  edit
On a personal note, I took a month off last year and stayed completely off whatsbev.
The first 2 weeks was difficult, but after that I didnt really miss it, if I'm honest.
If Gonk had'nt contacted me back then, I may well have not bothered coming back to whatsbev.
In the end, Theres much more to life than Whatsbev ... Just saying

I to contacted Gonk to voice my concerns about him and this forum and his responses were just so lacklustre, Which is a shame as he put in such a massive effort to get us back to a lively and healthy forum, I wished him all the best in what ever direction his interests take him.
