this game is a pain to watch - the strip contrast is not good enough for the quality of the live broadcast. There are times that you can not tell if the person running is in the black or the grey. Now a lot is down to the poor definition of the broadcast picture - but if this is the standard of broadcast then really need teams to be in white and dark - not grey and black.

Thats a clear foul on Lewis. Got him on the wrist. Abysmal refeering. They make the obvious call and the Sharks win in regulation.

Great comeback from the Sharks tonight....growing as a team....impressed by Koch again and Cashaw also showed something. The defence in the 4th was excellent. The first 3qs offence was fine but too many open threes.
Confidence builder and nice balanced attack. Really surprised how good Lewis and McKnight have been so far.
Eagles completely fell apart. Shocking how bad they imploded under some full court pressure and defensive intensity after conbasketball kiting things for a lot of the game.
Fans were moaning at refs but Eagles shot from the outsdie a lot where as Sharks went into the paint more explaining the foul difference. The Eagles got away with one at the end when Lewis was fouled twice in qucik succession. It was an incredible no call. They got him on the body and the wrist.
At least it did not matter in the end.
Well done Sharks and Atiba. There said it!

Clearly Ndiaye not match fit but at least he saw the floor for a bit and it looked like they used a zone to hide him. Anyway WE WON

Extraordinary game. Sharks never gave up and got their reward. Congrats to them. Eagles simply choked. Now need the win against Leicester in a fortnight even more.

No idea why Backovic is playing - I do wonder whether Lyons has been told he has to play him. He clearly is nowhere near good enough to even play the odd minute. He hit one shot but then turned it over twice, gave up a 4 point play and suddenly a game we had cut to 4 or 5 was back up to 12. He thankfully never saw the court again and guess what we came back.
Loving McKnight and Lewis and think Cashaw and eventually Ndiaye can be solid at the 3. Then with Marsden, Tuck and Koch we can rotate those 3 but we still need one more player for me - maybe another slasher/small forward.

I should have added - the new arena was absolutely rammed tonight and all the food/ drink concessions were doing tremendous business. Eagles will do really well financially if they can keep attracting these sorts of crowds. But they need a winning team to do so!

Not much good if they can’t be a lot smarter & see games out, still major issue with the foyer blocking people trying to get in cos it isn’t big enough to cope unlike the main arena

I was impressed with the Sharks last night. Few observations.
Bennett Koch is a really good player.
We need to find a different idea to Nick Lewis hero ball in crunch time.
Cashaw looked good. Really good on the boards. Needs to find his shooting range and then he’ll come really good.
Mackay is playing fantastic.
We need some more points off the bench, Tuck player out of his skin last night but if NDiaye doesn’t get going soon then we need another scorer off the bench.
We need a back up point guard.
All in all though. Very solid performance. Scoring was really well spread through the team. I was impressed.

Caught this game on you tube. Lighting a huge issue. Plenty of rotation from both teams. Eagles guards very dynamic, the team were a little Ill disciplined in their attempt to stop Sheffield and this stopped them being able to play their game with a rising foul count.
Sheffield are missing a consistent shooter from 3pt range and this will be the reason they don't scoop trophies for me. The new American really grew into the game and the rotation at the 4/5 won the battle over the game. Going to be a battle this year.

Eagles managed to throw this game away twice from double digit leads, not great from the coaching setup to see the momentum shifts & utilise timeouts better to interrupt it.. 🤦♂️

Spot on Stevetino. Sheffield hung around and deserved their win, but this was one which Eagles threw away with poor discipline, poor choices, poor execution and frankly ineffective coaching in Q4 and OT. I would get them all this morning and make them watch the 2nd half video ten times.
The only comfort is that due to injuries and Glasgow’s passport we have yet to see the full squad in action. Which begs two questions, namely Morsell’s fitness status and Glasgow’s passport timetable.
