Good news regardless IMO
The BBL needs any help it can possibly get right now. In fact it probably needs a big shake up at the same time
And it should ensure that Lions get any kind of salary cap they want long term at least

Every couple of seasons there seems to be investment groups linked with the league. Will believe it when it happens.
If its US or British investment i just hope it is all legit

More window dressing. £5M for a minority stake from an American investor in this environment? No mention of who they are and whoever wrote this piece without real sources is not a real journalist.

No my friend Diario de Sevilla is the main paper in Seville. I think it was desperate of MVP to put out the BS piece about 777 investing in the BBL in the first place. And then the writer came out later and said that there may not be a deal after all. That’s grasping at straws. It’s funny to think that you Brits would actually believe a bucket shop would actually come over here to invest in basketball, especially during a pandemic. Football, yes but basketball, forget about it. Investment will have to come from some high profile British people and not suckers from the US. You’ll only end up with scammers and flakes which has been the case more than a few times already I understand!! |

I'm sure I've also read from Dunkster that there will never be any investment. Yet Lions have 16 players & various coaches, they've been abroad twice to play friendlies. The players are all being housed, they're training everyday, is that all without investment?? He then quotes an article that he could well have written himself if he was Spanish, which is just a re-hash of a series of social media posts with no substance! It's absolutely clear that Dunkster wants Lions to fail & probably the rest of the BBL with it. For all the fake American bull****, I'm guessing it's really a very disgruntled basketball player who for some reason hates Lions & the BBL. |
