The Heat were running on empty and could not cope with the Lakers increased energy and intensity from the get go. Butler was spent, BAM looked at best about 75% and Dragic probably should not have been played.
Had Dragic and Bam been fit then I'm not sure if the overall 4-2 scoreline would have been any different. to some degree the two games they won were down to Butlers heroics and he may not have played like that had his two biggest co stars been hale and hearty!
From a neutral perspective it was a shame as the game was done at HT effectively. I was surprised that the stars on both sides were on so long in the 4th but I guess Spoelstra felt obliged to keep plugging away and Vogel would not want to allow a run to be ignited had he subbed his stars.
I support Lebron getting the MVP. AD is most definitely the second wheel on that team. Credit to Rondo to and one last jibe at HOward for his 3pt goal in last minute.....just don't like the guy :-)

Yes WHoward showed definitively by that last needless shot that he is indeed an a..hole
While I am undoubtedly grateful to have been able to watch some NBA basketball, the Finals and, accordingly, the final game have been an anti-climatic end to everything.
While the LA Clippers massively underachieved, LA Lakers bench overachieved having been forced up a level by James.
Shame the East couldn't have produced a better opponent for Lakers. Heat massively overachieved but were never deep enough to put up a sufficient fight. Maybe Ainge can pull off a deal to push the Celtics up a notch.
Another year on the clock for James maybe slows him down enough for the West to catch up.
I love the NBA but we need a more even field of teams. I don't want to go through all the regular-season hooha again just for the Lakers to overrun another Finals opponent.
And I'll heave if that whooping whingeing tool Whoward is allowed to piggyback to another ring...

The problem the Lakers give teams is they have mobile size. So they can stay big whilst going small better than almost any other team I would say. Davis and Lebron are a match up headache and, as you mention, when their bench produces they are tough to stay with.
I noticed there seemed to be a real absence of the usual inter team congratulations at the end. Not sure if that was Covid related or more down to the Heats hard nosed approach? Jimmy Butler does not strike me as a hugging kind of guy to be fair!
I think the Heat will be better for this experience. Herro was awful in G6 but he's a rookie and will get better.
Lets see when season starts and how it looks.

I think Solly's being a bit harsh, the Finals had their moments, and over all the bubble has been a massive success. Blame Bucks for not giving us the best possible Final. Ultimately injuries proved to be key in several series. Some more thoughts from quarantine
