Is it still at the EPSV? I thought this would be closed Yes game is still there. No idea about how it works, leisure centres closed but professional sport continuing?? Suppose there's a back door open that they can sneak in through!!

Suppose there's a back door open that they can sneak in through!! Leisure centres are closed to the public, but can open for other reasons - such as to hold professional sports events. Whether all leisure centres will be willing to do this is probably the more important question.

Whether all leisure centres will be willing to do this is probably the more important question. Before the EPSV was built the club received a grant from some sports body. The club put that towards the cost of building the centre and as such Nix are 'principle tenants' or something. I suppose that gives them an edge over a normal hiring. On the other hand I might have got parts of that wrong.

I think you’re pretty much spot on there.Grant I think from sports England. I remember the chairman at the time saying it gave them some sway in its design of the main hall

Its bad enough that I have to suffer careless grammar from the idle youth of today, but I expect better from someone of your seniority.
3/10 - must do better.

Also makes it a pretty uninteresting game

So no subs? Surely they need to have the amount needed or forfeit like Bristol had to

Nix have been terrible in the 1st half for the third straight game.
Doesn't help that we're missing Hayes and Mouliom, but we're playing a Manchester team without any American imports, so that's no excuse.
Players look lethargic, headless and without a plan. Our bench is the weakest it's been for years with Rangeley a complete liability, he's so slow he's beaten off the 1st step 9 times out of 10 :-(
Can't help but feel it's going to be a long season without personnel changes.

Both had 7 man rotations in the first half. Looks like Giants using ex Myerscough guys, Cheshire Lufadeju and Mark Rangeley
Giants doing very well so far

Tyson has shot well tonight, but he's a turnover machine, no composure.

Hudson, Powell and Ouandie excellent tonight, Manchester are going to get plenty of W's this year if their American's show up.

That Mitchell would be on a flight home tonight if I was Ben Thomas. He absolutely sucks.
Giants are going to be good.

Atrocious performance from the Nix tonight:
Mitchell - 2/10 - Shot poorly, fouled out early. Ross - 7/10 - Nix best player, should look to take on more himself. Gordon - 4/10 - Reasonable game, but not convinced he's a BBL starter. Dizzy - 6/10 - Usual industrious game on both ends. Good 6th man. Hamilton - 5/10 - Played OK while he was available, sat out almost the entire 4th quarter, not sure why. Rangeley - 1/10 - Not a BBL level player, painfully slow on defence. Rolls Tyson - 4/10 - Shot the ball well, but continues to be a turnover machine. Not BBL level IMHO. Jones - Not on long enough to rate, but did really well in limited minutes. Much better option than Rangeley from the bench.
Coach Thomas - 2/10 - He has to take overall responsibility for an awful team performance.

Wow, what a win.
For a team that has only been together for a couple of weeks I thought the interplay and spirit was brilliant.
Well done Danny.

Sufficed to say the post Jones Giants era is off to a flyer. Future looks bright for a team that was missing 4 starters and hasnt had a pre season.

I'm only 29 at heart but at least I can get my posting name spelt correctly! EDIT: After watching tonight's game I now feel really really old.

Interesting post-match interview with coach Thomas, I suspect some players are on final warnings.

Interesting post-match interview with coach Thomas, I suspect some players are on final warnings - He’s not a coach though is he? Fluked a trophy but other than that has no business being a coach. In Formula 1 terms he is the Lance Stoll (you know who I mean but the forum doesn’t let you spell his name properly) of the BBL, but less rich.
