When I realised that we'd be playing Riders last game of the season I wanted us to be presented the league trophy at that game before tip-off. However I now want us to win the league at home, therefore I want us to win it against Riders! Simple really! Seriously? I understand wanting to win the Championship in front of a home crowd, but we had that opportunity on Monday. And frankly, we blew it. Now I want us to win it tonight in Newcastle, and Sunday’s game can be a celebratory one before the Play-Offs start next weekend. You can’t seriously want Lions to lose tonight just so they have the opportunity to win the Championship at home? That’s far too risky. Get the away win tonight, celebrate at home on Sunday. Pats trying to be strong on the outside whilst worrying on the inside IMO

I'm in two minds about this. A "winner takes all" game on Sunday would be great entertainment. However, there's a huge risk that Riders would win that. I'd rather Lions wrap it up tonight. No offence meant to any Riders fans (or Eagles fans, for that matter) but I can't be arsed seeing two teams dominate. A different league winner would be pleasing.

In the Trophy Final, Spencer was a disappointment but blew up in the subsequent games. I'm hoping he'll do the same tonight after his performance against Nix - and if not, Lockhart gets extended minutes.

I don't think they built it to let Riders win the title either though. Tough call! Eagles will try to win the game I'm sure of that But it's a big ask with current squad Lions may be impacted by nerves though Eagles certainly trying. Moses started. Won't be an easy night for Lions

Meanwhile for the third season in a row Eagles head into the playoffs looking like they are going to struggle to get through the first round tbh

Only time will tell whether the Lions will follow the likes of Las Ketchup in the charts and be one hit wonders As for Vince, committing a technical in Q4 when you were up by 20 was idiotic. No other way to describe it.

Well done London Lions, so proud of you guys. I’ve been following British basketball for 24 years now, and it’s been a long time since I’ve felt this celebratory... not since my London Towers days.

Congratulations to Lions on winning the league title. Great performance from Robinson. Must have heard there's a poll on this forum for league MVP!

Well done Lions. Congratulated Vince after the game. That win was for all his efforts in keeping the team going over the years. Playing in the shopping centre, warehouse etc. We love to hate him during games with his antics but we can't fault his commitment or love of the game. Not going to mention the refs tonight 🤬

For eagles a meaningless game, let’s get mosesD & Smith fit so we can forget about immobile williams brothers once & for all 🙏

Jamal's stats from the two games this week 4 from 18 says it all.

Well it's congratulations Lions from me as well - at least they chose the best venue in the BBL to win it ! I could moan about the refs or the 12 man rotation against effectively 7 if you ignore Moses and Yabantu's cameos, but the gulf in class was there to see, and Lions have to be regarded as worthy winners. I guess it must be good for the game in the long term to have a successful London team again, especially if they can succeed in Europe as well ?? Meanwhile Eagles need to start thinking about the next season, as reluctantly I can't see them getting far in the playoffs.
