First off, many congratulations to Lions - deserved winners on the night and over the league season. And I guess it's good that the league has gone to a new winner. And no objections here to Robinson winning MVP although I think Donte worth a shout.
As for the match, in all truth it was all over once it became clear that Defoe and Smith were missing, and even more so when Moses sat down after 5 minutes. Whether or not Eagles progress in the play offs depends on whether these three are fit. Without they have no chance. Although Sheffield would have been my pick of all the BBL teams to play so quite happy about that (if Eagles are fit they should win).
Eagles need to start planning their roster changes for next season now. There need to be quite a few.
Finally, when did Fab last finish as the team's second top scorer?

Impressive nonsense again irf Eagles actually reached the play off final 2 years ago. Against Riders too.......but why let a few facts get in the way of a good slagging of Eagles!! IRF will be recruited for “Brexit Party“ soon.........talks crap like it is actual fact!!

This sums up why winning the league is still the biggest achievement and I'm not wowed by the proposed changes to diminish it in status. Just see what it means to Lions fans. The long haul makes it all so much sweeter if/when you get there. From a Riders point of view this has been a frustrating season but no-one can deny that the league has thrown up many surprising and enjoyable results.
The challenge now is for Vince to maintain the momentum next season and for all the rest of us to improve to the standard they've set. Think Eagles will definitely be up there now they can bank on big crowds at all home games. Gives them a significant financial boost.

Are the crowds increasing? Do most London Fans know they have won the League? Do most Riders fans know Riders haven't won the league? It's a strange sport like that. What proportion of BBL fans have ever seen a League table? I have to rely on Gonk or Dan Routledge to see one!! I know we have programmes at games - but not many buy them. Do they even have league tables in them? Keeping momentum for Lions will depend on the money available for wages next year.

Two more observations after last night’s match - Vince should leave celebration dancing to Charles Smith, and good to see Paul Nilsen back in Newcastle, although presenting the Cup to Lions must have been rough for an Eagles fan !

He should quit his oafish antics on the side as well, clearly trying to wind up Fletch all night & influence the refs

Eagles play Sharks at ECA next Sunday 5th may (2nd leg)
Am I right in thinking we play them the Friday 3rd May (1st leg) before that in Sheffield
...or have got this completely wrong ? ... Maybe a Sharks fan can confirm that !!

Maybe not even this decade?

Huge congratulations from everyone at Worcester, Lions have been a class act all season they thoroughly deserved to be crowned champions. I am particularly happy for Vince McCauley, he is without doubt one of the legendary characters of British Basketball and been rock solid for the club trough thick and thin. I think I will put a smart fiver on Lions to lift the playoff trophy.
