Can we please dump all our uni students and actually sign some players that are at BBL level so we have a usable bench. What the **** is the point of them all sitting there like lemons. I know it’s only the first real game but if we continue to play like we did today my guess is bottom of the league. Thank god we managed to hang onto Hassan and Wilcher. I also think Kostas Jonuska is a decent player.

If I’m a raiders fan right now I’m extremely worried I’m only tied in the rebounding battle with a team that has one stretch four who’s perceived to be a terrible rebounder for his size, a small forward and a bunch of guards.
Is anyone still taking Turner over Zak Wells? I mean I’ll give it a few weeks before I say I told you so but.....

Josh Palmer is just a dust collector! Stood their yawning his head off during team talks doesn’t even contribute to morale! . Surely there are other students who actually want to be there and can play an active role? I will take Theo over Zak every time. He had a decent presence today ; Grabbed a few rebounds and actually looked a threat under the basket; unlike Zak. Can’t hit a free throw for toffee, though! Misses of a magnitude not seen since the days of Terrence Derham ! Denzel up for the fight. We looked significantly better than last week, when we struggled to beat Thames Valley in OT. To be fair, we nearly won the game by playing badly. But for the blatant missed, over the backboard, by the referees, we may well have won. It seems they were the only three in the whole bloody arena who didn’t see it. Every player on both teams stopped, assuming it would be an end line ball.... Lawrence casually picked the ball up and score the winning basket. Only neighbour and Lawrence turned up for Royals and neighbour‘s 3s were the difference. Dusha booed during intros- I don’t think I have ever heard that before. At best there is a polite ripple of applause for unpopular returning players I feel much better about our chances this season than I did last week! And we still have Jackson Hyland to come back..... my worry is that Josh and Rashad are going to have to turn up every week.

He played 9 minutes against a team with one big man who isn’t an inside presence and got 2 points and one offensive rebound. Whats he gonna do against a team with actual physical bigs? |
