On the face of it, this is a good signing for Leicester in terms of what he’ll give stats and production wise. He’ll certainly be a big step up on Larsson and Wayne Martin last year.
He was absolutely dominant in the BBL at Worcester, saw a lot of minutes and was the go to guy. That’s the position he thrived in, and I fully expect him to replicate that this year, given that he thinks he’s far too good to be playing in the BBL.
However as with many players that seem ‘too good to be true’ in the BBL, he doesn’t come without red flags. The stark reality for him is that he’s returned to the BBL because he didn’t adapt well to playing the more team orientated brand of basketball in France. His size was neutralised by smart D and desire more than it should have been in the Pro B, which resulted in him being released to the NM1 mid-way through last year. He coasted to the point of being displaced by a 39 year old centre in the starting line up- and actually averaged worse numbers than in the better Pro B. That can be directly attributed to lack of motivation and low-work rate. My thoughts are that he’ll stay in the BBL for a season, take a large wage and use his stats to move on at the end of the year. Rob will really have to find a way to get his motivation to be high and his ego considerably lower. More importantly finding a way to drum in being team-centric will be absolutely essential.

I've always said players like Holder and Tim Williams would be MVP candidates at other clubs
Walker will have to play for the team and may not get the same stats as he got at wolves as a result
Meanwhile a player who doesn't win anything elsewhere will get a load of plaudits and attention

Brilliant signing ... we need to find a way to persuade some of these key signings to stay with us next year, assuming that we are invited and want to compete in Europe.
Can’t wait for more exciting signings.

That's a massive signing for Leicester - possibly the signing of the season. Immediately favourites in my view. It will be interesting to see if/ how others respond, including Eagles (very quiet on their recruitment so far this year - would love to know what they are up to). I can only hope that Mo Walker is very expensive and that Leicester don't have too much budget left for other marquee signings, but suspect I will be disappointed with that as well! This is the type of player Eagles should be in the mix for Maybe they were, and just decided to let Leicester pay top dollar . Maybe Eagles are in the mix for some other interesting talent? Who knows? I don't, and maybe even IRF doesn't either.

Can’t wait for more exciting signings. I am more excited about this team than for a few seasons. We look like we are strong at guard and in the paint as well. Of course, that's all on paper and the stats of individuals but I am more than confident Rob will gel the team into a powerful unit that'll play well. Looks like we could be a force to reckon with in offence - much more so than last season. Walker's a great signing.

Nice to have him back. With Washington moved on we needed a GB point guard and I'm sure he will get more minutes this season Great passer and fits in to the team first system Rob likes to play

I'm sure it's safe to add Harrison Gamble to that list - so that will be 9 (5 experienced Riders players and 4 new ones)

Cheers boshspice, interesting he averaged more rebounds and assists than points! He 6ft6 (big for a PG) hence the rebounds And he is a pass first player. Suits us. Wouldn't suit most BBL teams.

Another good solid signing for Leicester who can do a job. But won't paint the town red.
Despite departures Riders have plenty of continuity and have done very well to recruit Mo Walker . By my reckoning that leaves Gamble, a third US and maybe a surprise Brit/ EU to add to the mix. One of those needs to bring something beyond the usual in order to make this as strong a squad as the Bernadini/ Sullivan years. Time will tell.
I'm beginning to wonder whether Newcastle are deliberately being coy about their recruitment - the silence on their recruitment is deafening. Or maybe all their potential recruits have been nobbled by INF's propaganda?

Levi Noel working out at Morningside. Is he coming back this year to replace gamble?

Any guesses who else will be in at Leicester?
I'm intrigued to see how they finish off their recruitment. Am assuming a good rookie US wing and maybe another decent Brit/ Euro signing to complete what will be a very competitive unit with Walker on board.
With Eagles' recruitment seeming slow this season (or are they just being tactical?) I suspect this Leicester team will start as firm favorites unless someone (Lions?) unexpectedly produces a rabbit out of a hat.
Talking of which, with the recruitment they have done Leicester would be nicely balanced if they had brought back Flight42, although I dare say that ship has sailed?
