Glad we went for a forward instead of another guard. Riders will definitely be a force to be reckoned with in 2019-20. Our athleticism and ability to score from a wider range of players will add a different dimension - naturally, our defence will be very good (always is under Rob's coaching) but we struggled at times to score in recent seasons. Don't think we'll have the same problems now.

Great name!
Difficult to judge how much he will add from his college record but definitely long and athletic if not much of a 3 point shooter (20% over his college career).
Interesting disciplinary record at Old Dominion.......

Glass half full... Promising first few years at ODU. Worked his way into the starting lineup over the course of his junior season at Iowa State and averaged 10 and 5 as a starter. Not the kind of eye popping production you sometimes see from players coming out of the Atlantic Sun or the MEAC but pretty good numbers in the Big 12 (highest ranked conference in college basketball each of the past two seasons I believe).
Glass half empty... Not much of a shooter, senior year was a virtual write off and his college career as a whole has been blighted by disciplinary issues. He was dismissed from ODU and was suspended by Iowa State for the early portion of his senior year. That probably has as much to do with his lack of involvement last season as the injury problems cited in the Mercury.
Clearly has some baggage but seems he was a pretty good academic which I guess goes slightly against the 'bad egg' kind of image that some of this other stuff conjures up. Length and athleticism make him a potentially decent fit for us. Is he the superstar we so desperately need... Only time will tell.

From the basketball point of view only its all pretty irrelevant
Either he delivers what we want and behaves himself or Riders will replace him
Just the fact we start with all our imports injury free will help
If they are all great players even better

All true - Leicester’s superiority is such that it doesn’t matter how good their players are, apparently. Possibly a good job. Here are some facts:
Zoran Talley college stats - averaged 7.5 points per game (1.8 points last year); respectable 48% FG; 22% from behind arc; 3.3 rebounds/ game. And thrown out of Old Dominion.
JR Holder college stats (admittedly Iowa State a better programme than Jacksonville) - 10.8 points/ game (17.6 in senior year); comparable FG % and rebounds; but shot 33% from behind 3 point line.

I wouldn’t worry to much about dealing with disciplinary issues,
I remember Rob dealing with a bit of a live wire for a few seasons ago,

Dont know the disciplinary issues but Josh Steel waS thrown out of college for stealing (I like to bring that up when he visits) and wed all welcome him to our club

The few rumours ive seen found about zoran and discipline issues suggested smoking weed?
But none of the rumours I read were confirmed
if that's what his issue was then hopefully he's learnt it's not worth risking your career for

To be fair, Taylor King had a disciplinary record as long as anyone and he turned out OK
