Any more signings for Royals to be announced before Sunday? A 6 man rotation will be tough!

Wasn't the new format supposed to put a stop to playing twice a weekend? Or did I imagine that?

The original version - just playing each other once - was but clubs panicked and effectively made it all pointless

For me, the Rocks v Eagles game will be interesting to see how the Glasgow coach has shaped his team and whether they'll be a significant force in the league this year. Really excited about games being filmed for Youtube. Major step forward imo.

Wasn't the new format supposed to put a stop to playing twice a weekend? Or did I imagine that? I’m not sure that was ever really the plan, or if it was it wasn’t very well thought out. You can’t say you only want to play each other once but not want a reduced number of games in total (Cup, Trophy, Championship and Play-Offs). I believe teams will only play each other twice (once at home, once away) in the Championship this season, but then there’s also the increased number of Cup games which pretty much balances things out to how they were last season.

Maybe a daft question, but does anyone know/remember if the YouTube streams stay on YouTube like a normal video after the game is over? I'll miss watching Rocks v Eagles live but would like to watch it later at night.

Yes they do. They’re available to watch a few minutes after the live stream ends. All games are already available on YouTube for you to add to your ‘watch later’ list – and whether you then watch them live or later it’s your choice.

Think that makes the league championship fairer - in the past you either got 2 home court games or 2 away out of 3 which isn't really balanced.

So it's just into game day and virtually comments or thoughts on today's games. Chucking my pennyworth in I prefer the one thread for one game as before. It's difficult to read back over several posts to reply to a comment about your game( that's if anyone does post at all). Vert tough start to Nix season, Eagles then Riders, why couldn't we have an easy start e.g. Lions!! Very tough game Friday, whatever folks say Eagles look very capable. Didn't help we looked way off the pace and played so badly. Hopefully will put up,a better effort tonight.

Next week we should have individual game threads, results back in the game thread titles, live stat links and YouTube video links in first post
I realise it's a pain in the arse for someone to have to do but that's the ideal for me

Back to the subject - really looking forward to the battle of the new coaches at Glasgow, and whether the Lithuanian monsters turn up for Royals...

Would like to see Riders play at the same level throughout the game this afternoon, not fade away as they did on Friday. We are usually better in Q3+4.
Having watched the Eagles game yesterday on YouTube I think they'll beat Rocks today. Fletcher in ominous form for Newcastle and their new signings doing well too.

I often read the reaction to the Eagles game on the way home. Plus people may want to post about a game they've watched before they watch another game.

Fair point, just assumed if you were desperate not to see a result, Whatsbev might be the last place you'd want to look!

Good to get tip off times in these threads as well
Again I realise that's a job for someone
And I'm not volunteering

This camera at Plymouth is all over the place. Is it still human-operated?

This camera at Plymouth is all over the place. Is it still human-operated? And colours of the 2 teams do not make it an easy game to watch!
