Still unaware whether Mo Walker will feature for this important game - bragging rights at stake for IRF!

Can't see the Riders losing this one. Should be a good win for them.

Can't see the Riders losing this one. Should be a good win for them. Rema Lascelles wasn't able to play at Giants and the coach admits Jesse Chuku has only about 60% fitness which is pretty obvious to anyone watching him on court. Plus, no sign of Walker playing yet - oh, and no word yet about our other USA import being cleared to play for us or even being in the UK. Apart from that, we're dandy!

Such good news that he's flown in now especially when Walker's still recovering.

So can UncleJeff (or anyone else) tell us if Mike Morsell will be fit for this one ? We need to sort out both sides' injury excuses before tip off !

Can't see Talley featuring much in this one. Still not here by the sounds of it and with Anderson and Ward-Hibbert performing so well, he'll need to look pretty special to log major minutes right away.
Would be nice to finally see Walker get some run but if he's not ready it would be senseless to risk him in what is essentially glorified preseason. With 4/6 advancing from each group, the top sides can sleepwalk through these opening weeks and still be confident of qualifying for the quarters. At 3-0, we must be more than half way there already.
Riders v Eagles on a Friday night should pull in a pretty good crowd and it's always nice to beat these but in the grand scheme of things it isn't a very important game. Win, lose or draw, I just hope IRF is back in time for this one. The prospect of a Riders/Eagles post-game thread without IRF doesn't bear thinking about. I'd be curious to hear his prediction too. Riders by...?

Riders by 50.
And the new bloke will walk on water.
Hey - INF will soon be redundant!

Should be a good game, but I suspect Riders will win this. I think they’ve got the best chance of the 3 remaining clubs (Riders, Royals and Wolves) to still have a 100% winning record by the end of the weekend. IRF is still lurking, there’s no way he won’t be back posting by the end of the season. In fact I suspect he’ll be back before the Cup title is even decided!

Well, not long to wait now for Riders' first real test of the new season. Hoping we aren't totally crap at shooting the 3 pointers for the first half, like last week. Also want to see Zoran Talley play a bit to see what he can do. It'd be pretty frustrating if he didn't get on court at least for a few minutes after the club flagged up his arrival on social media. Suspect this will be a hard game especially on the boards with rebounding. We already know what Fletcher can do but Eagles' imports look very good and they've had time to settle in.

Picture look s OK but somebody tell the commentators to stand a bit closer to the mic. Also looks like the return of old " favourite" referees, Steve Ferris and Paul Walton.
Edit....I hear Daniel/Antony read my post even before I posted it....welcome back Daniel!!.,

My first time watching a game on YouTube. Why is the camara constantly zooming in and out?

It's only half time but great to see Eagles almost doubling Riders rebounds and so many scoring from the arc - keep it up Eagles !

Don't think it was difficult to envision Riders struggling on the boards tonight and struggling in the paint in general against a team with three seemingly healthy bigs. Gonna need a good second half from AT. Gonna need to hit some threes too.

My first time watching a game on YouTube. Why is the camara constantly zooming in and out? It misses action at both ends as well when there is a turnover in the backcourt

Interesting for both sides to see where they are at and with being able to afford at least a loss each at this stage, happy to see eagles pickup from the very scrappy 3rd qtr last time out v Glasgow last weekend, the team looks promising

My first time watching a game on YouTube. Why is the camara constantly zooming in and out? Its an automated camera. Nobody operates it. You need to take your sea sickness tablets before watching a game.

Great win for the Eagles forcing Rob to use surprisingly little of his famously deep bench - I'm feeling a lot better about Eagles prospects this season !

Eagles deserved the win riders clearly suffering from a lack of height. We need walker to be ready to go as soon as possible. I hope talley has only just arrived because he looked completely lost.
Eagles will be tough to beat on that evidence with fletcher and his twin Glasgow running the show.

Was a bit weird watching a game against Newcastle at this stage of the season knowing that the result doesn't matter. But for us that's obviously a positive and it was actually quite an enjoyable game and some positives to take for both sides.
We were always going to struggle against what is a pretty big frontline by BBL standards. Without Mo Walker we look undersized and the fact that we were absolutely dominated on the boards was clearly the difference. The fact that Eagles shot the ball so well and we struggled from deep took away any chance we had of winning the game.
Mitchell is a big body and very athletic but did the majority of his damage when being guarded by JWH and Jamell. He was just too big and too active. Those offensive rebounds killed us. Whether he would've been so effective against an equally big Mo Walker we will have to wait and see. Thought Fletch was amazing tonight. Feel like we've been able to control him pretty well since he came back to the league. He's had his good games against us and put up some good stats but that's the first time in a few years where I've felt he just took over against us and whatever we did or however close we got he would close the game out.
For us I love Kyron Cartwright. A top class PG who is really enjoyable to watch. JWH also keeping up his good start to the year and Jesse Chuku looks like he's getting back to fitness and shot the ball really well

Eagles will be tough to beat on that evidence with fletcher and his twin Glasgow running the show. Talley arrived on Wednesday of this week I think. Hardly time to know your teammates' names let alone plays. As you said, we were pounded by their big men and out-rebounded heavily. Not too worried by Talley because Chuku definitely failed to impress in his first two games but looked a different player tonight. Don't think Walker'll play for quite a while yet and the end scoreline flattered Riders. Felt more like a 15 point defeat. Eagles always in control. Being honest, we were outshot, out-rebounded and generally soundly beaten tonight. Mitchell showed he's an asset and Glasgow was very good. Fletcher? MVP. Can't understand why Scott is still unable to hit threes - didn't score any points at all tonight. That's a bit concerning. Wright was his usual under the radar effective self. He's been a solidly good acquisition and exciting to watch. JWH was really good again but Cartwright showed his class as a passer and a shooter as well.

If we lose on a Friday I normally still have the arse the following Wednesday. And obviously I'd rather we'd won and would have enjoyed it more if we had but not all that bothered one way or the other. This set up basically gives us all ten games to play to decide whether Cheshire or Sheffield go out with Manchester. Had it been a league game or a knockout game obviously it would be different. Or if it was top two go through instead of top four. Then there's a lot riding on the outcome. But as people have said this is basically a glorified pre season tournament.
