Doesn’t even look like they’re being coached. Whenever there is a timeout they just seem to be talking amongst themselves.

Messy game with both teams looking rusty.

Lions looking a bit better now - still poor shooting. Lions defending better. Neptunas look tired.

Why in Gods name are the Lions switching on every screen!? They've just got absolutely left for dead on back to back plays...
That's got to be a call from Vince

Crazy ending, seems like a dreadful foul call, be hitting if they lose off that

1. Cut Liggins
2. Replace Vince
Shambolic!

Pity Lions fell short but enjoyed watching live basketball again. Think London should be able to play much better than the disconnected manner they showed us today.

So is that it for Lions in Europe until January?

In summary - the game was won by the least bad team.
But I just had the best afternoon I’ve had in ages, I absolutely LOVED watching some live British basketball again. Sad that’ll likely be it again for a while now.

There's a very detailed and damning tweet regarding Lions doing the rounds on Twitter at the moment from an ex employee.
I'm not posting it on here. It's not nice at all.

I think once again, a game was decided on one bad call at the end. Yes 2 bad teams, but did they decide the result or the Ref.

Wasn't that bad a call. He was moving away from MBA and his arm was caught in the middle. MBA dragged him along with him. It's a 50/50 that either side would complain about. London just got on the unlucky side of it.

Good game and really unlucky call at the end. Changed the game. And a loss is a loss.
Neptunas was younger, fitter and more disciplined. Structure was tight.
Lions with all the bust out old America players in theory should have kept a comfortable distance throughout but didn’t. Vince the coach dude, what is he all about. He shouldn’t be coaching, he’s just not good. So what was these guys training prior to play, hopefully not just him??
Anyhow, end of the line and will see if 777 will continue to “supposedly” invest any further. If I were them I’d want a refund, exit door or vomit bag!
Wow.

Good to have a bit of sensible discussion from you, even if I don’t agree with most of it, so I’ll engage... I don’t know how you can say Lions were a mess and Neptunas weren’t. Truth is they both were a bit of mess. Perhaps not that surprising given the Covid break... it was even an issue when the NBA returned. As for Vince, I think you’ve got a valid point there. I like the guy. Really like the guy. But I can see the new owners questioning his position as coach over time if we don’t see the wins. There’s no reason he can’t remain in the Head of Basketball role though, he undoubtedly knows British basketball better than almost everyone else. I can’t see the new owners ditching them based on one game though, especially one they almost won, let’s be realistic. They’ve said they’re in it for 5-10 years minimum. I’ll admit I’m a little dubious of that time frame, but I think they’ll wait at least a few seasons before taking any drastic action.

And it was a good game but with the older more experienced Lions, they should have better conbasketball kited the tempo of that younger development stage roster. A roster that probably cost a fraction of lions. I think you are overvaluing the new ‘“Owners”. I’m from So Florida and know people who know them and they are not what they seem. But hey, if you want to believe otherwise please do. Let’s see how long they actually stick around. How did you like Liggins? Overhyped and the man has issues. He would never get hired back home but hey, I guess he has a right to work if that is what you called him doing. I guess British basketball will be taking a long look in the mirror during this 6 month hiatus.

I’m not convinced Lions new owners are the saviours they’re sometimes made out to be, but equally I don’t think they’re about to ditch and run after one game like you’re suggesting. Right now they’re just another chapter in Lions history. As for Liggins, don’t know what you’re saying... he was hired ‘back home’, before and after what I know you’re referring to. And for what it’s worth, personally, I think he’s of questionable character. But how did I rate Liggins performance? Not great, but it was only one game. Players of the game for me were MBA (eventually), Robinson (as always) and Mullens. And based on just today’s game, I’d swap Liggins for Brandon Peel back in a heartbeat.
