Regained their composure and made some big defensive plays and then some big buckets.

Messy final but enjoyable and Eagles got their mojo back in the 4Q when they looked like they'd lost the plot. Lions struggled for consistency and lacked some cracking players but Fletcher and Gordon were too good and refused to lose.

I had £20 on Newcastle when they were 11/8 but cashed out so didn’t make as much as I should’ve but can’t complain

For me, being a Riders fan, I am delighted that Eagles won. Lions lost 3 (I think) group games and came 3rd plus they got a bye in the semi final. I believe either Eagles or Riders would have earned to win the cup out of the three teams.

Agreed - as Ian McLeod said Eagles lost three players the day before the last final and kept going, so all credit to Vince for firing up such a spirited Lions performance. Bar 6mins of Lasker/Matthews, it was a 7man rotation on both teams anyway.

Well done to the eagles and Darius Defoe who now has 26 winners medals with the Eagles. I don't think that record will be beaten by anyone else.

Yet he spends the entire pre game, during the game and after the game without any face mask on and every other game I’ve seen him at.
All the other coaches, assistant’s, physio’s and so on all wear them at all times,
So come on Vince practice what you preach and get your bloody mask on.
And whilst your at it stop wearing white Sneakers with a black suit.

What a game. What a day.
I’m really proud of how well Lions played under the circumstances. When we were up by 7 points in the final quarter I really though we might pull off the impossible. But it wasn’t to be.
Well done Eagles. We all knew the rules when we started this unusual season, so no complaining from me. A well deserved title win.

Who knows what's going to happen next in 2021  I'm just happy we got our piece of silverware  Still think Lions and Riders are favourites for the League (Eagles top 3 perhaps  ) Trophy and POff's are anybodie's to take (whoever plays best game on the day wins) ... although other circustances can have an affect e.g Injuries,money etc  I'm just happy to watch some Basketball and want to see all BBL teams thrive in these troubling times. Anyways, think I'll shut up now before Mr T tells me to piss off again  |
