Ben, I am the Nix fan who did indeed complain about you and the other adult in your party. However I only complained to the Giants management by email and I am happy to share this email chain if you wish to see it. Giants responded to my email and copied in the Nix organisation in their response, therefore alerting them to my complaint. I had not discussed it with Nix, but Giants chose to include them in the email. Now for my complaint. Ben, you and I have spoken in the past when you were a Nix fan and indeed I have tried to get you on the away guest list when possible. I don't know what your issue was when deciding to move from Nix to Giants. I just knew you moved, but that is your choice and I don't have any issues with that. However, your language (along with your fellow Giants fan next to you who is also mentioned in my complaint) at the Giants v Nix game in question was appalling. There were children in the stand and to hear adults shout "you are a fat c**t" and "k***head" towards Nix players and referees was terrible. If any Nix fan came out with similar language in my hearing, I would say something to them, but I did not feel comfortable saying this to you at the time. I was undecided on what to do at this point but during the 4th quarter I attempted to find a member of club management to speak to about this matter. I couldn't find an appropriate person to speak to so then proceeded to send the email. Prior to sending the email, I was also made aware of certain comments made about me on the Giants fans facebook page. Comments such as "I need to be throttled" and that "I need to eat my drum" which were not particularly nice to read but especially hypocritical considering your fans also have drums and musical instruments. Admittedly you did not write either of these but you knew who your friend was talking about and you went along with the "banter" which I actually found upsetting especially when all I ever did was enable your support where possible at Nix. All that aside though, as I said above, the response received from Giants alerted Nix to my complaint. Therefore I can only assume that this, combined with comments you made about the Nix management more recently (of which I am only aware of from your previous apology post), has led them to make this decision. None of which has been discussed with me. I just wanted to clarify the complaint that was made, why it was made and by whom. |

Did anything happen on the old forum after that Nix thing, the last I heard the woman was going to go legal. Plus I remember the forum was shut temporarily because one of the people in charge went on holiday, never seen that happen to a forum before. Bev was shut to prevent people talking about another clusterfck in Chester.sam, though not only Sam,stood and watched. But this is great, the Rob impersonator needs deleting, but it needs to continue. |

Nix are always good for a laugh. I remember them getting very upset when Rocks posted Mamma Said Knock You Out after we knocked them out of the trophy or cup.
I also remember one of them trying to invade the court at the Emirates, only to have second thoughts when they saw Gareth.
Oh, and when a decision by the BBL went against them (and for Rocks), they took the childish option of naming the people at the BBL who made the decision.

So.. A recap for those joining us late. Apparently back in January, I may or may not have called a ref a knobhead. However, nothing was said to me and I wasn't banned, and in fact attended a game at Phoenix vs Royals. At that game there was a misunderstanding, to which Mike Burton called and text me (how he got my number is still being investigated) and stated that if I didn't apologise I would be banned. I did what was asked. However today I was informed I was banned for my abusive behaviour.. At that game above, which wasn't at the Phoenix and to which I wasn't banned before the Royals game. So make your own minds up why im banned. In conclusion your friend who dropped the C Bomb should also be holding his hand up to apologise. But from what I can tell he’s nowhere to be seen or backing you up. Unlike Nix fans who are sticking together. Great fellow fans you have their Ben. Seem they are too busy making memes. I am said friend. I attend most home matches with my wife, 3 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I would never drop the C bomb as I think the word is vulgar and I’m pretty mift that some disgruntled Pheonix fan would suggest I aimed this at a ref or nix player. This is obviously some sort of witch hunt against bbben. I can’t believe i‘ve been brought into this complaint as you felt insulted because I said I wanted to throttle you (in jest) for banging your drum every 2 minutes. As Ben said I think you need to go and have a lie down if this is how easily offfended you are. No nix fan, referee, players or anyone associated with the giants approached either one of us about our behaviour or use of foul language so this clearly indicates you are talking complete nonsense. If you are going to go to away games with a drum and then look at away club Facebook pages with a view of seeing what’s been said about you and your drum you should have a thicker skin. You could also have come over and spoke to me about my comments which offended you yet you didn’t. Instead taking to this forum to air your upset months later. To recap. I never dropped the c bomb (doubt anyone even did) therefore I’m not apologising for using a profanity I didn’t. |

Nix are always good for a laugh. I remember them getting very upset when Rocks posted Mamma Said Knock You Out after we knocked them out of the trophy or cup. I also remember one of them trying to invade the court at the Emirates, only to have second thoughts when they saw Gareth. Oh, and when a decision by the BBL went against them (and for Rocks), they took the childish option of naming the people at the BBL who made the decision. Happy days. The court non invader was Devon Bailey's brother. Think he made the right decision. Nice guy though just got a little carried away.
What a great night of entertainment that was. Cant remember sod all about the ball but Gareth chasing Creppy up the court stands well in my memory of BBL highlights. At the time I thought Devan was extremely brave stopping Gareth. Didn't know he was a future cage fighter and well hard! It was extremely naughty of Gareth to assault Creppy's elbow with his face and his over reaction should not be forgiven.
Then we had Stirling chasing someone and it may have been Creppy into the changing room after he'd shot an uncontested three after the Rocks had stopping defending as the guilty party was bouncing the ball as the game ran out.
Of course it was all the rocks fault or so I was told with a lot of fing and jeffing going on all around me!

To put what I said into some context, the ref had given a foul when it looked, from where I was sitting, that the player had slapped the ball and not touched the player.
What I shouted was "how can you foul a ball... Knobhead" rather than offending people a few actually turned and laughed, even Nix fans as it was said in a jokey way.
Hopefully this thread has shown that im not the vile, abusive, aggressive person that the Nix fans and club have painted me as.
Yes I get passionate at games, yes I may shout the odd thing, but its never offensive or aggressive in any way, and its never at other fans etc.
Its up to the club if they want to ban me for this, ultimately they are losing revenue. I started this thread to make people aware of it, and to hopefully let them know Im not the person im being pained as.
It might be worth locking this thread now... I think everything has been said.

We need more of this. Not every week, but a couple of times each season. With my judge's wig on, I'm ruling in favour of Ben. Even if I mistrust people who change clubs. |
