If it's not on makem takem this week I'll be fuming I've seen/heard a sneak peak. The notes are as follows: 0.34 Are the wheels coming off the Lions train? 0.36 Who is at fault for knobheadgate? 29.59 We might need to backtrack about Plymouth being **** and Giants a lock-in 30.00 Roll credits

I'm most interested in the fact some clubs have supporters Facebook pages where they abuse other teams fans??
Why did I not know this??
Perhaps I don't want to know??😀
In fact I'm fairly sure I probably don't!!!🤣🤣🤣

Ben, I am the Nix fan who did indeed complain about you and the other adult in your party. However I only complained to the Giants management by email and I am happy to share this email chain if you wish to see it. Giants responded to my email and copied in the Nix organisation in their response, therefore alerting them to my complaint. I had not discussed it with Nix, but Giants chose to include them in the email. Now for my complaint. Ben, you and I have spoken in the past when you were a Nix fan and indeed I have tried to get you on the away guest list when possible. I don't know what your issue was when deciding to move from Nix to Giants. I just knew you moved, but that is your choice and I don't have any issues with that. However, your language (along with your fellow Giants fan next to you who is also mentioned in my complaint) at the Giants v Nix game in question was appalling. There were children in the stand and to hear adults shout "you are a fat c**t" and "k***head" towards Nix players and referees was terrible. If any Nix fan came out with similar language in my hearing, I would say something to them, but I did not feel comfortable saying this to you at the time. I was undecided on what to do at this point but during the 4th quarter I attempted to find a member of club management to speak to about this matter. I couldn't find an appropriate person to speak to so then proceeded to send the email. Prior to sending the email, I was also made aware of certain comments made about me on the Giants fans facebook page. Comments such as "I need to be throttled" and that "I need to eat my drum" which were not particularly nice to read but especially hypocritical considering your fans also have drums and musical instruments. Admittedly you did not write either of these but you knew who your friend was talking about and you went along with the "banter" which I actually found upsetting especially when all I ever did was enable your support where possible at Nix. All that aside though, as I said above, the response received from Giants alerted Nix to my complaint. Therefore I can only assume that this, combined with comments you made about the Nix management more recently (of which I am only aware of from your previous apology post), has led them to make this decision. None of which has been discussed with me. I just wanted to clarify the complaint that was made, why it was made and by whom. I think this is a really good post in terms of having the courage to put your head above the parapet and say "I'm unhappy with your behaviour, I spoke out". There's not enough of that these days. It might not have been done in person - but not everyone is comfortable with that. I think it inadvertently conflates too many issues, and confuses who said what, to adequately address the issues between Phoenix and Ben. Admittedly that was unlikely to be your intention, nor is it your responsibility. I think the bottom line here is that relations between the Phoenix organisation (and maybe some fans?) and Ben have broken down and may well be beyond repair. If they want to ban him then that's their prerogative, regardless of how harsh or fair it is. I suspect this particular complaint to Giants was not *the* reason Ben is now banned, but merely the straw that broke the camel's back.

Out of interest as I am clearly not in the loop, Ben, how come you changed from being a Nix fan to a Manchester fan?

I suspect this particular complaint to Giants was not *the* reason Ben is now banned, but merely the straw that broke the camel's back. I understand what you are saying, and obviously everyone has the right to complain, my concern is that phoenix never attempted to get my side of the story.
In the email to me that stated why I was given the ban, three things were mentioned. First my post on here about Mike Burton, in a text to me Mike stated "you can apologise on social media for your lies. Failure to do so will result in you being barred from all future Phoenix home games. Your choice". Now I did this as requested, so as it was a choice, I don't see how I can be banned for this.
The second thing was for comments made on their FB page where I purely challenged their season ticket pricing etc, again, I don't see this as a banning offense.
The third was what this thread has become about, and its boiled down to one comment made at a game that wasn't even at the Phoenix, and was in no way aggressive or abusive, and to which my side of the story was never asked.
Bear in mind that the second two of these happened before the Phoenix vs Royals game that I attended, so these cannot have been the real reason for the ban.
I'd however like to draw a line under this now. I now know the complaint that was made, so this thread has been very helpful in doing that.
I have good friends who are Phoenix fans, and I am disappointed that I wont be able to meet them in April for a catch up and a bit of banter, which we did at previous games, but as you say, Mike can ban who he likes.

Add to this that I moved house so was closer to Giants, had a good friend that supports the Giants, and the Giants have a much better progression plan in terms of retaining players and using local players too.
Yes there was also the feeling that there were 'privileged' supporters, like when I was told I was "Top of the list" to get on the guest list at an away game, only to receive a text, 2 days before when it was too late to buy tickets that stated "Apologies but I cant get many fans on the list which I did potentially expect to be the case. Sorry". So somehow 'others' suddenly went above me in the list.

Yes, absolutely. I would certainly want to make sure I wasn't misrepresented or assumed to be guilty of actions that were not my own.

John Bercow is due to step down as speaker of the house of commons in the next year or so - you should give it a go Gonk. Your calling of order in this thread has been admirable...

Wow - I had no idea any of this goes on. Although my daughter does get upset when I shout at the refs I think that is just because I embarrass her. Hope she doesn't put in a formal complaint about me...

So Ben, shall I stick you down as a maybe for a Nix season ticket next year?
Like I stated earlier Nix only rent 'the court' on match days. Nothing stops you watching the game from the free balcony/walkway above the court.
I doubt Brio have banned you.
