Will need to splash the cash to tempt Brits to move to them. So so you think Fab is on his way? That should free some money up and a nice penthouse apartment! Garboletto maybe I do think Eagles need a new approach. As long as nick nurse doesn't get the sack hell be a low down assistant coach in Toronto next season I've heard he's offered to coach them for free providing they let him play 10 minutes per game

Tell you what, yes we sharks fans think we need a complete grounds up rebuild, but watching that eagles team, they need it as much as we do! I do worry though. I've not seen the venue in person, but on TV that does look a very impressive setup. The last thing this league needs is a return to the dark old days and Newcastle splashing the cash to try and buy the league. Come on Lions and Riders, let's keep these Eagles back in the mediocrity they bathed in in the 90s! They built it back to front though retsek. Too many fans behind the hoops. Its not as impressive as it could have been. (Had they copied us!)

Eagles deserved everything they got tonight. Arrogance from the outset from the team and their fans on social media and in person.I would not have one player back next personally if I was fab. A couple of supposed D2 players and 3 imports for the sharks prevailed with ease in the end. Well done to the shsrks What arrogance would that be & where specifically? π€

They can't sit down for 10 seconds unless they're whipping towels and doing a 3 sign out their seats every time one gets attempted. Only time bench players should be getting up is if they're getting subbed on or it's a time out. I say this as somebody who repeatedly got told, as has witnessed in other leagues distracting bench behaviour being T'd up. Good luck getting hammered in the semis, the last 5 minutes was testament to how you cannot keep a lead. If the Sharks were taking a dog for a walk, they'd lose the thing 3 minutes until they're back home.

Absolutely shambolic from start to finish. All I can say is thank god that season is over - Hopefully the vast majority of that team is consigned to the remember how **** he was sponsored by Anthony Martin history book.
In reference to who we keep - Fletcher, Moses, Kyle and Defoe for me the other 6 (excluding Fab here) can be chucked into the river tyne with bricks tied round their ankles for for all I care.

A disappointing end to a disappointing season. Well done Sharks and good luck in the semis. Another poor first half did for us, some poor decision making and simply shocking shooting coupled with an inability to react to the way the refs were calling the game is not good enough. Who would I have back? Fletcher certainly and Kyle. Maybe Smith (but only if he gets angry!). Drew is decent enough off the bench. As for the rest either not good enough, too injury prone or coming to the end of their playing career. π @ Retsek, I remember those days and no thanks.

Clearly a talented boy but I don't know how much of a Basketball IQ he has.

More kudos to Lyons !!! What a win, good offensive strategy to attack Jamal Williams and play with no bigs clogging the driving lanes, and good defensive strategy to sag and help off the right players, anticipate the passes and double up at the right time Plus no Backovic again and not listed on statcast, maybe too much pressure on the coach from CEO Mum at home games for court time during the season but who knows ?? (No other BBL team would have him and he has seen way too much time on the floor this season, sorry to moan but its true) We actually played proper Sharks bball with 27 assists, easy scores generated by picks and ball movement in addition to some quality moves from players who can create their own offence, and they get those opportunities when they don`t have to do it all game Keep playing that way and they are worth watching even if they don`t win every game

Like I said Sharks vs Fab
If Fab plays and either Defoe or Moses sits then Sharks by less than 10
Oh baby, I bet im right
So Fab plays 22 minutes, Defoe looks dead on his feet but is productive at offensive end and Moses looks like he hasn`t played for a month then tried to play 2 games in 2 days Even my junior school coach could see that Jamal Williams was just cannon fodder for anyone he was trying to guard Poor game management all round but it didn`t look like Fab was doing it so anyone know who was running the Newcastle team ?

The Rock
cant do this quote thing .
I have been involved in basketball for about 25 years, and probably watched at least 40 games per year in that time
I've watched and been annoyed about many calls in games, as have most BBall supporters, but you seem to be judge & jury on anyones opinion. Thats fine I have my long standing opinions, which you may disagree with , but players often gamble on a steal/block , that is not an unsportsmanlike offence, unlike pulling players back or grabbing players.
Tucks offence was not an unsportmanlike offence, he gambled to stop a score , but probably knew he wasn't going to succeeed,
Every player does this in a game, some more than others.
Watch games in the last 5 minutes, and see how often this happens, without giving a penalty of unsportsmanlike conduct
I stand by my comment, this was not an unsportsmanlike offense

Moses and Defoe will miss games with injury - and if you want to win stuff those games will be the ones that stop you winning stuff You can't just judge them when they are fit to play

I'm getting the impression that despite being a great player, Moses is a bit of a liability.

I'm getting the impression that despite being a great player, Moses is a bit of a liability. All so very predictable though. This surely shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. The injury he suffered its brilliant he's even playing again. But you can't expect a full season from him at 100 per cent.

Well it seems that way with the bbl schedule as it is, was always going to be A calculated risk, Defoe injury prone, same now for fab and Lasker, williams brothers donβt even get me started
