OOH I MIGHT HAVE BEEN WRONG! Perhaps we are after all about to announce another signing! Very interesting if true, after all we are allowed to have 12 players and we currently have 11. Could it be Sauveur Kande, the academy player that has been playing with the team during preseason and has impressed. Could it be a new player? Will we find out tomorrow and before Friday’s opener?

Eagles sign.......Sauver Kande, the 17 year old small forward who has appeared in the pre-season games and impressed. Congratulations to him.
"Exactly the sort of British talent Newcastle should be signing."

Good win for Eagles tonight but just noticed on the youtube feed audio before the match started (from 17:37ish) why 3 players were missing (only played with 7) on top of the 2 injuries. It turns out I was too optimistic about Rodney Glasgow Jrs passport and he hasn't got it yet. Something about Nick Schlitzer's international clearance and not being registered with Basketball England despite that being submitted ages ago. And Kande 's BBL registration hadn't gone though yet so he couldn't play.

It may have been uncle jeff that touched on it. Alot of teams struggling to get guys in and once there in registered to play. Crazy how difficult it has become and the red tape now in place.

I absolutely agree with the above. Unfortunately, he will have to warm the bench for the first three months of the season until his British passport comes through ... long delays caused by Brexit. Has Rodney Glasgow Jr. managed to get his British passport yet?
We'll want to see it when he arrives at the Morningside arena on Oct 4th.

Hopefully we can get at least one of the five players who missed the first games by Friday night. We've looked good but we're extremely vulnerable to foul trouble with a 7 man rotation.
