Or maybe we’re not finished yet? Of course you aren't even close to being finished You've only announced about 4 players haven't you?? Lol 5 however if we assume Darius and Drew are returning, Fab still plans to play and Kyle Williams is set for a return then we are actually nearly done and that is likely to be our starting 5.

I don’t think either Kai or Kyle Williams off the bench would be a bad thing but have no idea whether they have signed.

Am I the only only to be thinking a starting five of something like, taking into account the above mentioned names returning.
I could see a five of.........
Fletcher Kyle Morsell (think he can play both guard and forward) Aded Hussein Mitchell
Then if these sign.......
Darius (was used off the bench in the early part of last season and he was effective) Kai (if he returns) Schlitzer Drew Fab (if he plays) Then Eddie and Themba (or do we need to sign some players that are actually going to play)
I say sign Eddie and Themba if they are going to play but if not and we can find better players then why not.
Should be a lot of movement this week and announcements with the first preseason game a week on Tuesday against USA Select.

Would it be a bad thing if he was a starter? Yes definitely. He's far too inconsistent, blows too hot and cold to be relied on for a title challenge I think.

That starting 5 would work, but I think the thought process behind Mitchell and Hussein was based on dominating the boards - something that we haven't done for several seasons now. So I think Fab is after a combo of height and the ability to hit a mid range jump shot and handle the ball well in the front court. How tall is Morsell 6ft 4??

Morsell was said to be 6’5” in the report when we signed him and is listed as 6’6” on Eurobasket.
So is one of them.
Think there are quite a few combos that we could go with. Could start Morsell In the backcourt with Fletch but if Kyle is coming back has he not earned a starting spot after last season. But then I don’t think you could bring Morsell off the bench so he would have to start at small forward. Could start Mitchell and have Aded Hussein off the bench but then who takes the other forward spot. Personally I would like to see us start with both Mitchell and Hussein and use Darius if he is staying off the bench but doesn’t have to play big minutes.
I agree Kai is probably only good coming off the bench.

I agree Kai is probably only good coming off the bench. It's a possibility isn't it. For me, I like the idea of being able to inject some pace and energy off the bench with guards coming in to the game. If we start Morsell, Fletch and Kyle that just leaves Drew and he doesn't carry that scoring threat or ability to drive to the basket anymore.

I used to think Kai Williams was a decent Brit but then an eagles fan on here pointed out he was very poor defensively. So I watched him a bit closer after that and the poster was right. Players seemed to go past him like he wasn't there. I can't explain why. He looks fit and athletic. Although he actually looks lazy at times when you watch him closely - I can't actually believe he is lazy. But when you watch his lack of defense it's painful at times.

Ben Stokes for Eagles please..... Ben Stokes for PM. He’s done a better job at negotiating England out of tricky positions than anyone I’ve seen in a long time!

Don’t get your hopes up yet, INF! Yes. As the saying goes: "It's not over til the fat man signs" Something like that!

Jamal spotted in Newcastle, sorry folks Just back in UK meeting up with his brother (the only K Williams playing for Eagles this season) You've eluded to the return of Kai a couple of times now. As I've said previously I'm not against Kai returning at all to be fair so long as it's a slightly less key role within the team as the one he has had the past two seasons. More interesting is your suggestion that we wont be seeing Kyle return - Is that just a hunch or are you in the know?

I wonder how many examples INF would like of players signed by Riders who were supposed to be the next Michael Jordan. Mr Larsson last year for starters.

Look how long he lasted at Riders in comparison. You guys signed Jamal in November 2017 AND brought him back the season after!! This is a great quote below: "You can never make the same mistake twice because the second time you make it, it's not a mistake, it's a choice." Steven Denn However, I've said before that I hope Jamal gets another opportunity in BBL as he's a stalwart of the game really. Shame he had such bad injury.

I really expected some statement GB signings from Eagles this pre-season to show intent now the new arena is in place Maybe Jeff is saving the big names til last? There is a limit to what imports can do for a team (no matter how good they are) You need more quality Brits
