I wonder how many examples INF would like of players signed by Riders who were supposed to be the next Michael Jordan. Mr Larsson last year for starters. Look how long he lasted at Riders in comparison. You guys signed Jamal in November 2017 AND brought him back the season after!! This is a great quote below: "You can never make the same mistake twice because the second time you make it, it's not a mistake, it's a choice." Steven Denn However, I've said before that I hope Jamal gets another opportunity in BBL as he's a stalwart of the game really. Shame he had such bad injury. The injury is the key point here though. When we brought him in in November 2017 he had been out for a year. He had a couple of his strongest games for us that season towards the back end of the campaign. There was no real reason for us to think that he wouldn't continue to improve as he got more sharpness and erm...fitness. Last season he was extraordinarily poor and as a result he wont be returning.

Lazy recruitment - but definitely one of the best back-up guards in the league and a real role model for players and fans alike.

Always knew he would be back as he seems like a top guy to have around and Fab trusts him. Plus it keeps some continuity with all the new import players coming in. Expect Defoe and Kai Williams in the coming days as we all predicted.

Well with the names we have so far which is all we can go off at this point, Fletcher and Morsell. But I would expect another guard to possibly slot inbetween them in the rotation.

I don't class Lasker as one of the best back up guards in BBL. My reason is that when Fletcher is off the court Eagles are so noticeably weaker ive spent a few years watching Riders now and no matter who is playing point guard and who is sitting down nothing seems to change in how we play. when fletch sits down its all about how quickly he can get his breath back to get back out there. And meanwhile its damage limitation for Eagles lasker IMO isn't trusted to cover for fletch properly. doesnt mean he's not a decent player. But hes a stop gap for Eagles IMO rather than a goto guy. No doubt that will upset some on here. But that's just how I see it

Don’t worry, this year Riders might actually have the best PG in the league.
No, really.....he looks promising.

Thrillsville...don't think I've ever read such a downbeat announcement about a player signing. Almost apologetic.

He's a great young prospect and capable of being pretty solid off the bench.
Just the sort of young player Riders should be signing rather than 31 year olds!

Bit concerned about Eagles squad for next season. Assuming they plan to have the full squad announced in time for the first pre-season game next Tuesday and given they have been announcing one player per day does that mean only two more players to announce (Mon & Tue next week)? If we assume the two players are Darius and Kai that would leave the final Eagles roster looking like this…
R Fletcher M Morsell N Schlitzer S Hasan J Mitchell
D Defoe K Williams D Lasker F Flournoy
T Yabuntu
That does match last year in that Fab is one of 9 players in the regular rotation. If that is the final roster I struggle to see how we can compete for league with only two bigs and one out and out ball handler in Fletcher. Just got to hope there’s a rabbit to pull out the hat somewhere down the line before the season starts.

We also don't know if Fab is continuing to play at the moment. That's also 3 bigs and the major concern for me there would be in the backcourt. Something tells me there's another new face to add that wasn't there last season.

I have a feeling in my bones that Gloryeagle (and Bigz) might just be right.

I'd also expect Eddie to be back too if Themba is returning. if there is also a new player incoming along with the return of Darius that will put us at 12 for the first time in a long time. (If i did good maths...)

"Something tells me there's another new face to add that wasn't there last season." I have a feeling in my bones that Gloryeagle (and Bigz) might just be right. Keep the faith. I hope this is true. If not it means probably Kai Williams starting at small forward (if he is coming back) which is looking more and more likely. That would leave a bench of Dafoe, Schlitzer, Lasker, Fab if playing, Themba and probably Eddie Matthew. Would prefer one more body in there, like a Kyle Williams or a similar player. Another shooter and scorer. Meaning can bring Kai off the bench. Hope there is another surprise and we find out soon as the season is looming. Wonder when the new guys are coming in, well basically all the guys not based here as not heard anything about them arriving yet.

I am doing.
Just want to see something official.
I think the difference of signing another player like Kyle Williams, him or a similar type player is huge.
