Sharks are appalling again. Shock Horror.
Joke of a franchise now tbh. I used to love going to the Arena and seeing the Sharks.
People should be ashamed.

Amazing Worcester win tonight. If they continue playing like this they will not be easy to beat

Lions had no answer to the Wolves...And Vince ran out of ideas as he was stood with his hands in his pockets in the 4th and very quiet...Its going to be an exciting season

Multiple players who can score points, and great teamwork

Wolves completely dominated Lions Full credit to Wolves, they looked extremely promising. Meanwhile Lions looked extremely disappointing. Wolves were very good, but weโve got to play better than that.

Good win for eagles tonight with only 7 players. Really like Mitchell brings a lot of enthusiasm and rebounding to the team. Fletch was great again 30 points and 11 assists.

Iโve said it before and iโll say it again, one of the most underrated players in the league.

Great start to the Eagles season - an easy win with 3 new signings injured and Eddie finally getting minutes and points. It will be an IMF year - take your pick from Mitchell, Morsell, Matthews or McLeod. Fab who ?

Agreed about Eddie, always said Fab never trusted him and he has proved tonight that he can be the asset that many fans have said he could be.

The two new import guys look super talented. So much potential. Fletch was his usual imperious self. Next week against Rocks will be a sterner test for sure. Also if Mitchell wants to wear his shorts around his belly button like Simon Cowells trousers please kit man get him some smaller fitting shorts ๐ he spent nearly as long constantly pulling his shorts up as he did playing basketball

James Hawthorne, Scorchers new forward, mentioned a pre-season personal target of a double/double. He's 9 and 9 at the half so a good start to his personal challenge. He looks useful. Competitive too. Think the tight shorts mightโve restricted him more as the game went on!!!

Well, that was a typical Flyers Home rollercoaster performance.
Gentry Thomas started quite poorly, but boy did he make up for it....35 points / 11 rebounds.
Big shout out to Raphell Thomas Edwards, had a fine debut, 16 points and very good defensively....and remembered most of the names of the fans he met in the open training session on Tuesday.
Levi Bradley us on his way so should be a full compliment for next game.
Poor old Marcus Delpeche, 13 points off the bench but 1/11 from FT line.

Lions were ****, Wolves were fairly decent but they weren't facing much of an opposition. Wolves dominated inside, without Brandon who was excellent, it would have been 40+. Lack of control & intelligence from everyone except Justin & Brandon. I know the excuses, Romero not playing, new American only in this morning but the bench looked weak & we were out-played, out- hustled & out- fought. Thankfully due to the new ridiculous BBL schedule, losing your 1st game, or even your 1st 3 games means absolutely nothing, even if you lose every cup game it's hardly going to matter massively, so OK, you don't win the cup, and every trophy is good to win, but you can still win the league and more importantly, the Play-Offs, as due to playing just 22 league games, even the league has lost its shine. So whilst I'm embarrassed by the performance and the result, I'm not as concerned with either of those things as I would be if we'd started with a league game! Which surely means the new structure is ridiculous, as the 1st 3 games are little more than additional pre-season games, allowing clubs more time to cut cheap Americans who dont work out and bring in better quality ones cheaper, when they still haven't got a job 4 weeks in to the new season! Or perhaps I'm over-cynical!!

Riders were too good for Sharks but the latter were missing key players/imports who will make a difference for them in future. They fought to the bitter end and must have been pleased that they kept us to half our points total that we scored in the first half. However, Tuck was totally ineffective in offence and that was a bit of a surprise. Our forwards Anderson, Ward-Hibbert and Wright were great and hungry for everything, contesting rebounds, defendending as if their lives depended on it and scoring pretty freely too. Only Jesse Chuku disappointed because he looked slow and unable to finish fairly easy lay-ups or put-backs at the rim. Perhaps he's not fully recovered from the injury the club mentioned when he arrived? Still no Mo Walker and the US import Zoran Talley isn't here yet so we can expect to improve further once they are on court. For me, the revelation has been Cartwright who is conbasketball kiting the ball and marshalling the offence with some great passing. He's able to see an outlet in a flash and deliver an inch perfect pass that splits the opposition's defence with ease. We had only two turnovers in the first half. I love what he's contributing - haven't seen a PG as fast and good as him for a while. Pretty confident that Scott's three point shot will start dropping soon and adding points to the board. As said by someone earlier, we were a lot less effective in offence during the 3rd and 4th quarters, relying too much on shooting the three rather than continuing the excellent inside work which had been so effective in Q1 + 2. We'll meet much tougher opposition but without Walker we are still quite a team and what I'm watching is exciting, fast basketball which is a new dimension for Riders compared with recent years.
