I personally prefer each game having its own thread. I think like this everything is stop start myself Yes, I agree. Very disorientating and disjointed with everything in one pot.

So, 5:45 to go in the first, down 4 and Backovic has two turnovers, misses 2 three point attempts and a layup, comes out with 2:18 left on the clock and we are 12 down !!!!!!! WTF is going on !!! Son of CEO or what !!!!! He goes out and we rally to end up 7 down at the end of the first Leicester realise we can`t play defence or score and go on a run, with 3:03 left in the second then to really help us out lets bring on another relative who isn't strong enough to tie his shoe laces yet never mind play any sort of meaningful defence, along with cousin Marko !! No surprise then down 22 at the half Just goes to show how thin we are and how weak the playing time decisions are, neither Backovic or Montgomery are good enough for any playing time in this league never mind starting and playing meaningful minutes I will not pay to watch them play, and neither will many other folks If that's what you think then I can't wait to read Retsek's reaction!!!

Wow - i’m Agreeing with IRF ! I’ve got Mitchell’s and Hawthorne’s shorts tangled up for a start. I guess it’s down to how many post on the thread and how disjointed it all gets...

Just watched the Wolves vs Lions game on YouTube this morning because I was working last night. Lions got absolutely spanked! Are Wolves that much stronger this season or are Lions not the team they were last season? Vince looked totally shocked and really wasn’t expecting that.

Nothing that Lions have done in lead up to the season would make you think they were going to be as strong as last season I think Vince has either taken his eye of the ball tbh Lucky for them there is plenty of time to sort stuff our before the league starts

Summed up in a few words. Disappointed in the result/performance, yes, gutted, no. Perhaps the sad state of affairs that we have got to (there's one for sharkfan / sharkball). Gone are the days when we go to Riders with me thinking, even hoping for a win. This is now a fixture where we have come to expect a L in the end column. Sad.
However if it means Sharksball is not going to pay to watch and therefore limit the negative anti Atiba posts etc then every cloud.
Any team with Backovic starting and serious minutes from Sedale, Montgomery and with a junior shark debutant on the bench is not going to do well at all. Big Hope's pinned on the 2 players still to play. One injured in training, the other still awaiting a visa. Yes I can see questions here and I have seen that one team (rocks?) have already cut a player whose visa hasn't come through yet. A road Atiba should go down? Imagine the posts then! Atiba cuts another player, Atiba doesnt know what he's doing, why sign a player, etc etc.
No different either way. Lose lose.
Imho Riders opened up a good lead with excellent 3 point shooting, quote from commentators, 20 point lead with 18 coming from 3s. That allowed them to go on to dominate the rest of the game, pretty much like Eagles of old.
Finally it was good to see Koch play so well and get under the skin of the Riders fans. Any player that can do that, to any fans, as got to be good and raise a few eyebrows.

Koch and Lewis (surprisingly for me) were the only positives for Sharks last night Don't think Riders were at their best and lots more to come from them - but they didn't have to be at their best. It was such a comfortable win. As you say dyb dyb - not like the old days! I think it's going to be a long long season for Sharks fans tbh

Not sure they’ll have many fans, unless they can improve significantly. Riders need Mo Walker fit, and a better option at point guard when Kyron Cartwright needs a rest or picks up an injury.

The difference between Cartwright and Lascelles was stark, and not in a good way. Latter far too slow getting the ball down the court. Perhaps Scott or Wright could fill the PG spot sometimes when Cartwright is unable to play?

Koch's double double is a big positive, and I'll take two players scoring 20+ and outscoring the riders in the second half. Other than that a struggle. Ndiaye seems the big question mark - hope it's not too serious.

Yes it would be good to have individual games listed, if possible

Dyb, if you cut a guy because his visa is taking too long, you have to start the whole process again for his replacement. Any player can come in immediatelt on a 3 month visa but it's expensive to then keep him for the rest of the season. I'm not sure the guy currently waiting could be brought in on a 3 month one after applying for a full. It's a bloody mindfield. Given that the next ten games are of limited importance, I'd wait. But it's hard to deny Sharks are a shadow of the franchise they once were

Good win by Eagles, but its still too early in the season to make predictions, so lets not get ahead of ourselves too soon. Sundays game will be more of a test, and it will be interested to see how we play back to back games away. on that note, both teams tired, Rocks have home court advantage, game could go either way ... but Eagles just to edge it

Rocks v Eagles I think eagles may have the better squad but rocks may have the better coach I can't call this game

Anyone watching on YouTube last night? I caught the Eagles game (Mitchell and Morsell are looking like blue collar workhorses which I like the look of, but keys will be how effective Glasgow and the French guy can be) and thought the presentation was really good and I was really upbeat about everything, but then I heard of the problems at Manchester and I caught a few on YouTube catch-up this morning the Worcester stream kept dipping out, the Bristol camera angle gave me vertigo and the Riders camera was all too often fixated on the centre of the court, it’s very much a work in progress I guess....
That said I’m just made up I can watch games free live and on demand - definite step in the right direction but needs work.

Any player that can do that, to any fans, as got to be good and raise a few eyebrows. Without wanting to get into an arguement or a tit for that, I think it's easy to say after an easy win that your team didn't play well or try. I don't think Sharks played well, missed too many 3s, easy looks etc but you can only play as well as the other team allows you to, you can only beat wants in front of you... I for one don't believe, and I feel IRF doesn't either that Rob would have let any standards drop, no matter what the lead was. Both teams have players still to come in, have Sharks got the biggest chance to improve?? I jest, Riders are undoubtedly better.

But it's hard to deny Sharks are a shadow of the franchise they once were I was just throwing it out there as I'd seen a criticism aimed at management for not sorting it out already. What's the alternative, to cut as one team as but as you say that as it's own issues. Either way I think Atiba is in a lose lose situation with some fans. I use that term loosely.

Tbh I'm taking nothing from those games as everyone is missing players!! Give it a few weeks and we will see!! How much is the new format to blame for that though? Are teams not concerned about starting the season weak under this schedule like they would have been in the past I know there's some paperwork issues as well

It's hard to give an objective opinion after one game and missing two starters, so I'll evaluate us as a team and their potential once we're fully suited up.
What I will comment on is how utterly pathetic it is from the organisation to not have a players Visa sorted out. Obviously nothing you can do about an injury, but no Visa, how bushleague can you get.
Also sharkfan hit the nail on the head. If two of your starters go down then you use a six man rotation Robbie Peers style and call timeouts where appropriate for breathers. What you DON'T do under any circumstances it start Crapovic and play him 22 minutes. Give me a ****ing break.

Fans are allowed to criticise the team and organisation Dyb Dyb. To say otherwise is nonsense.
Admittedly I haven’t seen Sharks in a few years but I still follow and watch everything I can on the tele/YouTube.
I don’t know who SharkBall is but I’m pretty sure they have been following Sharks for at least 10 years. Probably longer.
I’m a fan and I’m ashamed of what the Sharks are now. And Atiba is an appalling coach and....I’m still a fan. Atiba isn’t the Sharks. He can, and should, be fired.

Like the look of Mitchell and Morsell - give Eagles something that seems to have been missing for some time. However early days - they will need quality time from Sade and Glasgow. Not a classic Eagles performance but that's not surprising given new coach and number of new personnel but some promising signs.
