As it stands it could just be a couple of fans who have written a letter together.
Not a lot about the group, who they are or how many of them want to help etc.
Maybe they will contribute to this thread at some stage.
Good luck to them but I think they are facing an uphill battle. The club has never really got established enough to become something to now save.

I really hope they can be saved - it would just be nice if someone (anyone) associated with the Royals would show some humility at some point.

I too hope they survive (who wouldn't want the best british talent on these shores), I mean if the owners want to do what they're doing indefinitely then that's their choice, but I know I wouldn't. And that's the problem.
We may see them until the end of this season, but its never been sustainable and wont continue indefinitely.
PS - Matt Scott was apparently only back in the states for Christmas- so I guess he'll be playing.

Re the Royal supporters alliance
So far they have 4 fans in their supporters Alliance. Ive suggested they join this chat forum if they want to involve more BBL fans in anything they wish to achieve etc.

“First of all, I would like to say a big thank you for the outpouring of support from fans and the wider basketball community in the past week or so.
“We are in the process of finalising a deal that I believe will put us on stable footing into the future and provide us the resources required to deliver our vision for basketball in London.
“We are working hard on closing out on the terms for this deal and so our focus now is on Sunday opening our Trophy campaign against Surrey, and ensuring we drum up support for our next home game against Sheffield Sharks on January 25. We hope to see you all at the Palace to cheer the Royals on.”
Regards,
Jon Sawyer Chairman"
From the club just now. "Nothing to see here, continue to live in wonder" would have also sufficed.

Still, I don't think we'll be seeing them in three years time.

On a related note my (very biased) head is wondering what will happen with the Scorchers game that they postponed last week with slightly more than 24 hours notice. I suspect it will just be rearranged.
However the Rocks were given 2 points in very similar circumstances and those 2 points could prove to be crucial when play-off places are decided.
Shouldn't the Scorchers also be awarded a 20-0 win ??!?

Nah, the way Schorchers can play this season they should replay the game, they could well win by more than 20!!!

I did wonder actually what would happen if the Royals beat the Rocks by more than 20 in Glasgow - presumably they would then gain the H2H !

I did wonder actually what would happen if the Royals beat the Rocks by more than 20 in Glasgow - presumably they would then gain the H2H ! depends how BBL interpret the FIBA classifications - if that is what BBL use. I always understood it to be if you default a game 20-0 then you have automatically lost the head to head as well. All down the the regs of the league what they use - I have played in a league where in the rules it states any club that loses a game by a forfeit or default can not win the competition!

It was inevitable, feel for the staff who worked for them in this reckless mission.

You can't put a team that was eliminated back in surely. What if this happened then they got to the final? Would you put back all the teams they eliminated on the way?
