In this enlightened era of equality perhaps the makers of Foxy need to be approached for a Mrs Foxy costume? Or does the legal ownership of him cover all his family, his offspring and all his relatives living, dead or stuffed?

Missy foxy and little foxy have both appeared previously so I imagine they have bought the bloodline

šš¤£š„³š Thanks Nixfan thatās hilarious. I remember Riders on their knees. Walking passed Mr Routledge in the Street and saying high and the wife said āwho is thatā. And I said just a bball man. But so pleased for him and everyone in Leicester to see where they are now. Great story.

I think many clubs have been at the bucket point, whether in public or quietly behind the scenes. It's not that easy and without conbasketball kiting your own venue you're at the mercy of people who are too lazy/inept to really run a commercial enterprise. Because the reality is, if the Pavilions could genuinely hire it out for far more than the Pats are paying, they would be.

I get the comments about the fox ect and its just a mascot? But that's the hook that gets the young generation in and the point is there isn't a big solely pure basketball fanbase in the city I'd say average of 500 - 700 the rest is made up of family's on a day our schools or people who go for the night out because of foxy and the cheerleaders who couldn't tell you sweet fa about basketball!! Yes he's a man in a suit but he's a huge part of people's basketball life in Plymouth! And yes I think there's massive problems not only in Plymouth but the BBL on general!

Who won the bid? Bet the suit pongs a bit Not me and I'd imagine Patriots may have said by now if anyone connected with the club had been successful. Unfortunately, it's not an eBay type process where you can see who the winning bidder was and how much they paid.

So 5-700 people a night go because of foxy and the cheerleaders?
Thatās one flawed business model (if true)
And how many older kids donāt go because of foxy and his primary school style antics?

Seems all a laugh, pats just been beaten again by a flyers team we destroyed last season. Does anyone see a win coming from anywhere? Sure itāll be laughs when attendances hit new lows game after game and we lose another Plymouth team!!! But letās all joke about me getting fired up over the loss of our mascot, or make fun that Mr Tumbles will pay a visit!!! Please explain what a now defunct club beating Flyers last season has to do with Patriots losing to Flyers this season. Iām sorry, but youāre delusional. ITāS A NEW CLUB. If youād been at the Flyers game, youād be proud of the effort this young team put in. Clearly not the same calibre as last season but not without the same heart. Either get behind the new team or donāt, but FFS stop complaining about some tw@t in a fox suit and move on or get grief counselling.

I feel your passion, your words speak volume, you have heart well done, suit up and play basketball for Plymouth!!!! Firstly some tw@t in a suit did a good job at entertaining crowds, so a bit disrespectful, secondly Iām not losing sleep over foxy!!! Jesusā¦. Itās the bigger picture, people are not going to part with Ā£15, Ā£30, Ā£40 to watch 10 guys with heart and no source of entertainment!!! Iād pay that money all day to watch raiders, even when we were losing games, because it was still tight, we had players who could turn games out of no where, but this crop do not, Iām sorry but crowds will dwindle, but not youā¦.. you like heart, and you will spend your hard earned cash to watch heart!!! Again I was a passionate Raiders fan, which is why Iām continuing this argument, and again piece by piece our club is gone. Sorry Iām still a bit gutted about this!! #gopats

Also anyone seen the price of replica kitsā¦. Whatās your thought on Ā£50 for a top and Ā£40 for some shorts? Seems a little steep. Not a dig before matey above tells me I need more council counselling lol

Surely not many people would part with that much money on a team kit that we donāt even know whether theyāll be around next season yet or not! And 3 kits I donāt get that!

I wouldve happily paid Ā£40 for raiders shorts, I used to ask every season but I think that's too steep.
Fair price for any bbl club (I do think it should be the same for all)
Jersey Ā£35-40 Shorts Ā£20-25

Kids are Ā£30-40 for a JERSEY only!!! Think itās really a lot of money, and adults at Ā£50 is crazy money!!! Could have slashed the price, got merchandise on peopleās backs and helped with promoting the club. Very expensive, rightly so on a team who letās be honest might not be here next year

Don't go and lose a second club in a year would sound like a great move. Worth remembering that this club was created in about 20 minutes. I'm not sure what you expected,

Yes a mascot or something that gives the team identity. Something kids like to get families in. Otherwise not sure, I need more then heart to part with the Ā£40 on tickets and drive from the Devon / Dorset boarder

It's easy for us to offer solutions with no real concept so I'll offer one.
Advertise where people who buy tickets look!
Basketball fans that spend money are in a large part men aged 35-55. Thats not me stereotyping, just noticing the audience of a club I've sat watching since 1998. What men aged 35-55 don't do is go on tiktok or many other social media sites. What men that age do is read the paper yet I haven't seen an advert for a game in the herald since patriots started. They're desperately trying to grow a social media presence which I 100% agree is essential. I can guarantee Raiderfan loves Instagram, its not going to put bums on seats immediately which is essential tbis season. I Coach a basketball team in the City, as a club we have close to maybe 80 registered players, not once have I been asked to hand out flyers or even mention a game. Madness really

Madness really Itās true I am a keen Instagram(er) do you follow me MrTall? I would agree entirely, if not even older demographic which backs your approach to advertisement more. I guess one thing and only as a business owner myself, newspaper advertising is insanely expensive, I wanted to run a half page spread for 4 prints (one per week) and it was around Ā£300 I would have required 10 new members just to break even, so can fully understand not running newspaper ads simply due to upfront cash required. Tbh there isnāt a right way for this club to continue. Atm they are damned if they do damned if they donāt. Poor squad, losses games. Last years had a wonderful squad, went bust. I think though everyone on this a thread, wither we argue and disagree all loved the raiders, and want that love in some format to continue onwards

Do we try and help that format to continue by buying in to Patriots or waiting to see what happens with whoever has bought the beloved Raiders out of liquidation?
