Seeing on Facebook Foxy is no longer aloud at games. This is a humongous dent in the patriots hopes of reviving the franchise!! I know hundreds of fans who go to games and he was the main reason returned! Including my kids. He has done so much for plymouth basketball it's such a shame and without a suitable replacement gameday will be alot worse! Would make even the biggest blowouts barable

Can't help but feel the timing of this is somewhat vindictive.

Much love for Foxy but it was hard to wrap my head around how if Patriots are a new set up how could they use Foxy anyway? In some situations they want to be classed as completely separate to Raiders but then pick bits from Raiders and want to continue with it. It is a bit confusing. If they want to be a separate business then have your own separate things. It appears trying to use Foxy was a way of profiting off the back of the success Foxy was at Raiders. My son has fond memories growing up knowing who Foxy is and when you thought about Raiders you thought about Foxy.... if you thought about Foxy you thought of Raiders. Even seeing him at the home game, you still see him as Foxy from Raiders due to years and years of association. Seeing him in a Patriots kit doesn't change that. You cannot erase the years of memories everyone has. I'm sure if the milkybar kid started appearing in adverts for dairy milk white chocolate anyone would instantly go "but that's the milkybar kid" This is one of those situations where it is sad to see him go but understand that he will forever be part of the Raiders story. I wonder why that wasn't stipulated from the start by outgoing Raiders owners. Whilst the above makes perfect commercial sense Ross, the timing of it now feels very much like someone is deciding to take their ball home to prove a point.

Always thought Foxy was a bit Marmite. He did push it a bit as far as the rules are concerned but love him or hate him he was always entertaining whenever we visited the Pavillions. A big loss to the Plymouth gameday experience and will be sadly missed.

If you think I'm connected to the previous ownership then you are very mistaken, just a long standing Raiders fan

I mean, he certainly was when incidents like this happened... www.bbc.com/sport/basketball/15433804I wonder if his final game will involve a local hunt team coming along?

I personally think this is so sad, more of our club is gone, raiders are no more but this feels like it’s truly moved on…. I found foxy to be great humour, and I know my little girl would have loved him. This will impact the new club going forward

I'm not sure how to put this subtly. It's not my strong point.
But could the same bloke not put a different costume on? He could still behave like a twat, the daughter of Raidersfan definitely wouldn't know the difference, the rest could use it as a life lesson - after all, people change their identities all of the time these days.
I believe in you lot. You can get through this.

Someone “could” pump 1 million pounds into the club and build a shinny new stadium, but as of right now, foxy is gone and a huge part of what makes watching basketball in Plymouth is gone. Game day experience for the “now” is gone, and when attendances don’t look great right “now” I think this is a hammer blow for the club. For people like myself who hasn’t yet fully got over the loss of the raiders, and do not consider myself a full blown pats fan it’s another reminder our club is gone!!!

If attendances are already lower than normal due to a new team, COVID what ever, then something that attracts families to attend leaving is a blow to further attendances is it not?? Are there now people with kids who might not attend, as £40 to watch Plymouth get blown away isn’t so appealing without entertainment, I think so…. Your looking at this very narrow minded. The bigger picture is multiple small things are making the appeal of spending money to watch Plymouth less attractive

Are you suggesting that there are people in Plymouth who spend £40 to go watch a mascot do a a dunk off a trampoline?

“Vindictive' prove a point” what sort of worlds are we living in. Let’s add small minded, self important, Pratt’s, self centred ect ect ect. It is a nice Basketball Club that has been torn apart by the money (haha) Men,!,,,,!!!!!!. And the people that are being hurt are the fans. Was concerned when the Club was “sold” to the Turkish lot and look what’s happened. Perhaps we should have a Comp to guess where Foxy will turn up next. Sorry fans ,One final word. FIGHT.

My guess is the assets (Raiders' name and Foxy) will be put up for sale by the Liquidator and bought back on the cheap by one of the former directors.

If foxy appears as a patriot mascot tonight then there is no issue, business as usual. If he doesn't then the crowds will continue to slump. There's still 1000 tickets left on the pavilions website for tonights game. I csnt see patriots surviving the huge money pit they have at the moment

Blimey it's a man in a fox suit. So the club will collapse without him? Really?
He often overstepped the mark . When we played there i would happily have decked him.
But I get the Plymouth crowd likes him but it sounds like he is more important than the team. Or am I missing some subtle sarcasm...

Omg stupid comments…. No one is saying foxy is bigger than the team!!!! What is being said is that attendances are low…. The team clearly aren’t good enough, and that small losses…. Like the mascot or “man in a suit” will not help attendances. Yes I believe their are family’s that pay £40 to go watch basketball!!!! Yes not all kids like basketball, but the cheerleaders, the lights and foxy’s antics are an attraction for them… again small minded comments!!!!!
Let’s just play at the majons court, on flip out chairs…. After all the pavilions is just a court and comfy seats right!!!

Think some comments are clearly from people who haven’t lost their club!!! This is just another nail in the coffin, and another part of what was our club taken!!!!
