Shambles? To me it looked like everyone was thoroughly enjoying it, at least those sitting around me were! And surely ‘not that many going to regular games after’ is better than none, which would have been the case if it had never happened? It’s certainly not perfect, but I struggle to see it as pointless. Ask cheshire what they think of it, just 1 example You obviously wasn't sitting where I was. A little displeased and unhappy isn't quite how I'd put it. On another point of the event and true basketball. Phoenix arranged through the organisers to block tickets together for the same team supporters. We were put in the very back rows of the top tier, no concern or thought for club fans, just get as much money in from as many people as possible. Promoting basketball perhaps but what about your "friends" who turn up every week. Controversy aside not certain if I'll bother again when there's absolutely no regard for fans just give us the money.

On a related note, I also disliked how when booking you couldn’t choose your actual seats - only if you booked via TicketMaster, which only had a very limited choice. I never said it was perfect.

Just another example backing up the shambles impression I’m afraid, refs clueless, scoring errors left right & centre,

Back to the real stuff Did we? Because from where I’m standing Hearn’s ‘gimmicks’ has a lot of things the BBL could benefit from... professional live television coverage, lots of prize money, a crowd of 5,000+ people... But yeah back to the real stuff, with unreliable online streams, poor quality coverage, financial issues, small crowds... Anyway, I feel we’re going round in circles now so I won’t comment anymore... until we inevitably have the same discussion next year.

I enjoyed it. Plus I got to watch the scorchers lose twice in 24 minutes rather than the usual once in 40. Double the value !

The live coverage has improved this year tho mate, nearly all games are available on YouTube, that’s another world compared with 5 years ago & the joys of livebasketball.tv, its far better quality, eagles & lions don’t have smaller crowds in fact it’s the opposite, eagles occasionally sell out 2800+, and Hearn has had nowt to do with that! 👍

The you tube coverage is a step forward compared to the Live basksketball coverage, mainly as you can watch 'not live', but it's laughable if you're trying to compare what we saw on Sunday to it! But hey, as my dad used to say " there's none so blind as those that won't listen"

Nobody is disputing that sky has decent coverage (but that’s it for them till when?) it was more the first point you picked up that was more pertinent, live access to all bbl games is a quantum leap on where the league was 5 years ago!
